Its a really nice station after it got renovated. Has a lot of Great history. In between two neighborhoods of Philadelphia Germantown and Nicetown. The 23, 53, and 75 buses are all within the area. Within a few blocks the Broad Street Subway and the bus routes 2, H and XH are within walking distance. Ticket office isn't open all day the new hours are 5:15AM to 12:00PM Mondays through Fridays only. Saturday and Sunday CLOSED. Perfect connection to/from another Regional Rail Line service and also to/from train and bus. This station is ADA accessible. The best part of it's history at one time, More trains stop here than at any other station in the world. Buy your tickets at the office before boarding the train if using cash. If you need a store for drink and snacks all within in the area of the Station. And also a lot of people don't know that a movie was filmed at this train station. The 2000 film by M. Night Shyamalan "Unbreakable" Staring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robin Wright Penn. They used this station as Trenton Station using an Amtrak train.

Wayne Junction train station, nestled between the mouths of Germantown and Nicetown is my jump off point for downtown and into Delaware County where I was born, raised and educated. East Germantown is quietly going through gentrification, with buildings that were empty eyesores for decades are suddenly being re-imagined as new living and office space. I predict in about seven years, East Germantown will be unrecognizable from it's current state. West Central Germantown will remain what it has always been. A desirable solid middle and working class community. One of the things I like about Philadelphia is it's treasure trove of murals that tells stories of it's past and pays tribute to it's heroes. To this end, Wayne Junction train station is getting a set of murals to highlight the history of SEPTA's 23 bus' history running on Germantown Avenue. They are being placed on the train trestle walls on each side of Germantown Avenue. The photos that looks unfinished are unfinished with two artists plying their skill to bring the mural to life. The finished mural is of the 23 bus heading south into Nicetown.
