Ive had three packages stolen from the mail room in the last two weeks. The managers refuse to install any surveillance cameras.
Overall, the District is an expensive 400 unit apartment building that is like living in a fraternity house.
My car was vandalized in the parking garage. My packages have been stolen from the mail room.
There is frequently dog pee in the elevator and dog poop in the hallway.
Any no security cameras.
Garbage piles up in the hallways and trash room, even after trash valet is gone. People are pigs here.
There are breed restrictions, but half a dozen pit bulls living in the building.

Ive lived here for 2 years and everything is great but the package room situation. Ive had multiple packages stolen/lost due to the package room just being open for anyone and everyone to get into. Packages are left out in the middle of the front entrances. Security sits in the office while everyones packages are scattered around. They keep saying theyre working on a better system if you dont mind having packages stolen/lost it is a great place to live. I recommend having a safe place to ship items instead of delivering them here.

Well I decided to upgrade apartment complexes and moved into The District from the Heinz Lofts in November of 2022 and it certainly was an upgrade. Couldnt have been happier with my decision and was totally worth a thousand more in rent every month. I hardly had any complaints or issues and the few that I did have were addressed and fixed within a day or two. The amenities here were fantastic and seemed relatively brand new. Theres 2 buildings here and both are not even 6 years old and building I live now had only been open for I think a year with some of the units not even finished yet. There was a clean crew here at least 2 days a week cleaning hallways, entry ways, weight/fitness room and common areas including the lavish rooftop. We have 5 floor indoor car garage with an optional 6 floor uncovered which I thought would be plenty enough parking. Very clean as well with routine upkeep. My first year of living was an easy 9/10 which is why I renewed my lease.
I usually dont write reviews unless Im extremely unsatisfied. Im only writing this to inform anyone whos looking to live here. As of right now, DO NOT unless youre only moving here for convenience. This piece is a total joke right now. I havent seen a cleaning crew since July of last year it seems like. People leave their trash wherever the please: garage, hallways throughout the entire day, on weekends when valet trash doesnt pickup, the trash rooms are a disaster, the weight room is dusty with handprints and dirt on the windows, common areas including what once was a lavish rooftop lounge now every average due to lack of upkeep.
Surveillance and security here is extremely inconsistent. The garage doors are sometimes left open for long periods of time due to being broken or people moving in. Theres absolutely no surveillance on any of the floors. My parked car was hit pretty badly and I had no way of knowing who did it. Management doesnt monitor who actually has a parking pass to be there which means limited parking..
Theres a few entry ways that can be accessed from the outside without any codes to get in which makes for an unsafe complex..
If you order a package, anyone has access to the room and doesnt require a code to get in which is ridiculous and lots of times, packages are left outside in entry ways.. Ive had quite a few packages stolen due to this issue.
The advantage this place has right now is location, thats it. Its certainly not luxury style living right now. Pay your rent and thats it
I will say the leasing office staff is exceptionally friendly and do try and take care of any requests and a timely fashion but they can only do so much.
If youre looking to move into The District anytime soon, dont

The most friendly staff and very helpful maintenance group. Noelle in the front office is very attentive to details and will help if any issues arise. The community is very dog friendly and neighbors are very nice. Look no further for your next home in the strip!
