Evan was an absent attorney. I paid $7500.00 up front to have him represent my son through the court of common pleas. He immediately proffered the case without ever meeting my son. I told Evan on numerous occasions my son wanted him to come to the prison to talk. Sometimes I was told he would go, and other times I was brushed off. He went twice during the sixteen months my son was incarcerated (by the way, my son wa sentenced to 11-1/2 to 23 months; you figure that one out). My son felt unprepared for what was coming every time he was taken to court. The height of Evan’s laziness presented itself when my son was taken to court and offered a plea deal handed to him by a public defender’s paralegal (I still have the copy to prove it). I immediately contacted Evan and was reassured the court made a mistake. It took me two days (because I was losing trust in him at this point) to track the public defender down and speak with her. She informed me the plea deal was a real offer, and she was appointed my son’s case because Evan never filed an entry of appearance with the courts. Two days later Evan still had no clue what had happened. This is an ethics violation at the least and could have constituted legal malpractice had my son signed the deal. When I informed Evan, via voicemail, of his mistake he still hadn’t realized he made one, and he didn’t call me back. My husband called his office demanding a return call or a refund, and he had someone else from his office call me. He has never apologized to this day. My recommendation is to invest your money in a more attentive attorney. PS, he berated the DA in a text to me calling him ‘the kid that sat in the front of the bus’. I’m pretty sure he can’t get you a good deal when he’s putting down the very person he has to deal with.

Mr. Kelly is what I like to call a good soul. He helped me when I was at my lowest fight off two Felonies for only $1,500 & save my future as a student athlete. I really cannot thank this man enough he really taught me a lot in our little time together. Which in hindsight I appreciate a lot since it’s rare to meet someone, a lawyer especially who genuinely cares about you when you look at them. I highly recommend Mr. Kelly’s services and appreciated the connection we made!
