My boyfriend was dying to get in recurves and his neighbor mention some short religious old man that makes bows not even 5miles from where he lives. So we went over and wow, an incredible collection. Inside the shop and house. The stings and arrows made by his wife are beautiful and he makes sure to consider each person's specific uses for the arrows when designing them and choosing a materials. Even with their increasing age he is still selling select bows and arrows, he rarely makes them any more and it seems junior is out of the bow business. The strings and arrows aren't as durable as I feel they once were. My boyfriend's string tries to unravel a few times. Once he fixed that, no problems. Some fletchings decided to fall off but we shoot at targets rather than the rabbits and squirrels right away like fedora suggests. A few months later he built a bow with me in mind and it was a huge honor. A smooth recurve, long bow hybrid. My boyfriend and I made our own arrows from there on out mostly cause once you get talking about religion with fedora it's all lord of the flys talk from there on out. So keep it business as best as ya can. And it'll be worth a stop to check out the old bows, funky bows, but all hand made bows.

I had Paul M build me a custom recurve. It was my first custom bow, but not my first recurve. The bow is beautiful, smooth, fast, quiet and most importantly accurate. When shopping around for the right boywer I chose Fedora because I liked the grip, and the amount of experience they have. These bows are not just works of art, they are designed and engineered to perform.Paul also took the time to shoot and test the bow to make sure that it met his specifications, before shipping. He has worked for a company that had over 50 years experience, before they shut down, so he has allot of experience in his trade. He also holds records in several States for target shooting. He can definitely help you make the right choices for your bow, so do your homework and ask him all the questions you can, you will be amazed at the knowledge he has to offer. There was a little misunderstanding between us, concerning the order and he sent me a bow not quite what was specified, but he definitely made it up to me and kept this word by giving me an upgrade to meet the specs I had ordered at no extra charge. This is by far my favorite bow, I shoot quite well with it and am amazed at it's overall performance. I hope that Paul is able to stay in business for a long time and that his knowledge of building bows will be passed on to someone from the next generation.
