Nine years ago my mother (then in her mid 80s) had the presence of mind to suggest we update her important legal documents (Will, Powers of Attorney and Healthcare, etc.). We met with Evelyn who made what can be a daunting process very simple and logical. She proposed a living trust and made some other excellent suggestions. Six years later my mother suffered a stroke that left her unable to sign things, and with some cognitive impairment. Having all of her documents up to date made it so much easier for me to manage m mother's affairs (medical, financial, legal) until her death at the end of last year. I thank Mom for that gift and for engaging Evelyn to assist us. Evelyn's guidance has again been invaluable, following Mom's passing and has saved me spending time on things that don't apply to my mother's estate. I began working with Evelyn in August 2014 when my uncle passed away and left me trustee of his trust/estate. Evelyn was the attorney my uncle chose to write the legal documents required to aid me in my transition. I live out of state and Evelyn is extremely versed in Rhode Island law and assisted in every step of the way.
