Im disappointed in this business. I scheduled a massage (bought the coupon through Groupon) for Saturday morning at 11am. I showed up at 11am and the place was locked up with no one around. I called and the phone just rang. I waited until 11:15 and then left. Needless to say Im furious. My time is valuable and i planned my Saturday around this. Im also in Pain and NEEDED a massage. Ive never left a 1 star review... but come on... if you dont want to work... then dont run a business!!!!

The owner Pete is incredibly unprofessional and seriously lacks the background in exercise science to provide a exercise program that will produce results. Do your self a favor and take your money to a more credible trainer and business.

I do not typically write negative reviews however, my experience with this business was so incredibly disappointing that I felt like this was necessary. I apologize for how long it is but I really dont want anyone else to experience what I did. I signed up for Fit 4 Life in Mid October of 2017, after two of my friends said that they had signed up and enjoyed it so far. I spoke to the owner, Pete, who assured me that my late schedule requirements were manageable (I work in Boston and would get back to Cranston around 7/730 pm at night). After speaking to Pete and Connor, the other trainer, I felt confident that I would finally get the workout regimen and nutritional help that Ive desperately wanted for some time. I was excited to work with them and trusted that they were excited to work with me. I couldnt be more wrong. I will say both Pete and Connor are knowledgeable and the workouts I had with Connor were always great. The problem was time management and lack of communication. Multiple times, I had shown up to train with Connor and he was nowhere to be found. I would then get a text, after already having driven there and taken time out of my day, to be told that his phone had broken or that he had scheduled breakfast with his mother and that we would have to reschedule. The first time this happened, I understood. The second and third times not so much. Another issue I had was the ways in which we communicated. I was constantly texting back and forth with Connor but almost every single time was me reaching out to him. Every week I was sending a text making sure I knew when my appointments were. Often times, I would get a oh sorry, I have plans I forgot about how is Saturday?. This baffled me. First off, why am I the person always reaching out? I am the client. Secondly, a few times is fine, but every time? That is unfair to me. When I couldnt stand the inconsistency any longer, I reached out to Pete and explained how I felt. He said that he completely understood and that he would now be taking over my appointments. This made me happy not only would they be in the early AM (5/6 am before my train to Boston) but he seemed genuinely concerned about my concerns, even making it a point to say that we would get 4 half hour sessions in a week and that he would let Connor know. I felt like he valued me as a client but, again, severely mistaken. I, once again, reached out to Pete EVERY SINGLE TIME to schedule our workouts. The first time he told me Wednesday AM was fine but never told me a time. I asked him what time worked and then he immediately responded saying Wednesdays didnt work. This was wildly confusing considering he said this directly under the text conversation we had where he said he could. We made our first appointment for a Saturday. That morning, I asked him what time I should come in because, again, he never texted me to let me know what worked. He completely ignored my text. Pete told me multiple times he would refund me because I was behind three classes. He told me, via text, that he would give me back my money but stopped texting me all together. Just completely ignored me. I ended up not going to my last two weeks because this was THE WORST experience I have ever had with a business and there was never any initiative to resolve these issues. I feel like because I paid upfront, I was seen as less important than their other clients. I see the positive reviews others have left and honestly wonder what I did to receive such an opposite experience. All in all, if you do decide to sign up make sure you do not pay until you receive the service. However, I would recommend that you just go somewhere else with people who are proven to be reliable and good business owners.
