While my visit was because of working on a shoot for a TV commercial for Hasbro, the owner and staff whipped up wonderful, delicious breakfasts and lunches for us all, and nothing was lost on the quality because of the quantity. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll want to revisit :)

E(gg)cellent breakfast. Great comfort food as far as omelets/homefries go. Cheesy, meaty and filling or light, healthy and hearty with fresh vegetables. Greasy spoon prices, but God tastes great like mama's kitchen (if mama was a chef in the Navy for 20 years).
Burgers are OK...but IMHO, they just don't hold up for the price.
As far as dinners go, not really sure.
The best thing I ever found here was the breakfast and their desserts.
Oprah would say, "THEY'RE AMAZING!" Whether it's a ginormous omelet with sausage/cheese/onions/mushrooms, bacon/tomato/spinach/feta cheese or meat lovers or whatever, paired with their homefries with onions and whatever toast you like (including italian), this diner is truly a gem in the heart of downtown Lincoln.
Don't forget to go next door to the Lincoln Creamery which is part of the same building and the same owner who gives the customer the best value for their dollar.
The sundaes are sinfully good.
Get a milkshake, a slush puppy type beverage and more and their ice cream cones are Donald Trump size HUGE! The size and VARIETY of ice cream flavors is ridiculously HUGE, and toppings, etc. The VALUE...you leave there feeling like you got so much more than what you paid for.
The wait that you will most likely encounter in the summer time there is absolutely worth it. It only adds to the flavor of the season. This is a down to earth joint, that will create memories for everyone's families.
To me, that is just priceless.
