Well overdue review as we've been patients of Dr. Nelson's for about 5 years...We're a military family and though we aren't always living nearby, I'm a local Newporter and we try to schedule cleanings around our visits back home. To this end the office is always very helpful and accommodating..I've literally called the office with a weeks notice a handful of days we'll be in town and have been accommodated. I first saw Dr. Nelson when I was pregnant with my first child, and found them to be very professional and courteous..the last visit we had I was pregnant with my third, and we were able to have my cleaning and a *cleaning* for my 2 and 4 year olds. I was honestly shocked by how kid-friendly they were...Dr. Nelson was so good with my girls! She even has a catchy little song while she's counting their teeth. It was an experience I expected to be really stressful, and then it was pleasant!If you're a navy family and you're looking for a mil-friendly dentist for the whole family, this is your spot! Other perks are a private parking lot..Dr. Nelson's husband is often manning the front desk, and he's friendly and helpful. Give them a try!
