I went to Dr. Lodge's office for years... since I was a child. I didn't know cleanings and dentistry could be any different. When I was 25 I finally got fed up with Dr. Lodge telling me I'd be so much prettier if I got braces, so I found a new dentist. When he told me this, I asked "is there anything physically wrong with my teeth or bite that would improve if I got braces?". He told me no, that everything was fine, I'd just look better with straighter teeth. So off I went to get a new dentist. I don't need comments on my looks, I'd like a dentist to focus on the health of my teeth instead. To my surprise the new hygienists never made me bleed. I thought this was a given during cleanings, as it happened every time at Dr. Lodge's office, no matter which hygienist I had. I would cringe in pain every time they'd knick a gum with their metal instruments. There hasn't been a drop of blood since I started going to my new dentist's office for cleanings. I'd avoid Dr. Lodge's office.
