On our vacation to Providence we stopped at India Point Park and saw this place, and wanted to inquire about sailing, paddleboarding, and/or kayaking. The main entrance was blocked off, (no sign, just blocked off) so we looked to their website and were happy to see that they offered one-day trial memberships, which would be perfect for us as we are just visiting town for a few days. We walked around to the side entrance, and got chided for being there while youth camp was going on..... (Sorry? Again no sign indicating we couldnt walk that way) The manager then told us that they don't do one-day memberships anymore because of covid. I asked why it was still on the website and he didn't have an answer. Their website had clearly been updated in the last 2+ years since covid started, so I'm not so sure what was going on here. This place was unhospitable to say the least. Im giving it two stars instead of one because the youth campers looked like they were having fun. Tourists, don't waste your time going here.

Seemed like a very nice club. Good concept on the social and sharing point of vue. I wasnt aware there was a test that needed to be taken before you could go on the water. When I went the first time, the staff there said it was too windy for the test. I went back twice and couldnt take the damn test because it was either too windy or not windy enough. You have to pay the fee before you take the test. I basically paid the full fee and wasnt able to sail even once last year. They should at least let people take the test and then pay. Very disapointed in the unfairness of this situation. Any business that has justice as a value would understand that.
