image My daughter subleased over the summer...barely there for 2 months. Upon move in, her room was filthy. Hair, dirt, dust and God knows what else on the floor of the bedroom...walls were peeling and had holes. We were just grateful to have found a place for the summer, did not complain..we just cleaned it. The hallways looked like they had chunks of drywall up and down the walkway...never cleaned as long as she was there. The last 2 weeks she was there, there was no wifi. After move out, I received  a hefty bill for damages...$50 trash fee for each person who lived there ($150 total)...ridiculous! Barely even a bag of trash was left! The rest was for painting, almost $150 for that (times 3)...these guys lived there 2 months! I know it doesn't cost that much to paint such a small space. I was unaware that the rooms wouldn't be inspected and cleaned before a sublease moves in. I should have known the company was money hungry after a $149 application fee. The office staff was very nice and it is a good location...

image My daughter lived in 61 Vandy as a sublease for the summer. We were shocked on move-in day at the overall condition of the building. It was filthy. There were clumps of hair and even a used feminine hygiene product in the stairwell. Her apartment was disgusting. When we attempted to clean the beyond dirty bathroom, we quickly learned that the tub did not drain at all. It took days for someone to fix it. The sofa was so filthy that we had to buy a blanket to cover it just so she could sit on it. She left it in much better shape than she found it in to avoid having the next resident have the same experience. Imagine our shock when she received a bill for move-out fines. The wall damage was from the previous residents and the "trash" she left included an unused roll of paper towels and a bowl and a couple of paper bags that were there when she moved in. The management just informed her that as a subleaser, she is responsible for the damage the previous residents left. I am sure it is somewhere in the lease agreement, but it is also the management company's job to maintain the building, and it should have been checked before she moved in as the lease agreement was with them. It has been a good learning experience. Otherwise, the location is the only good thing about this apartment.

image Not managed well. On the weekend of moveout, no one was in the office helping. Only good thing about it was the location. Nonstop maintenance issues. Moved in to find a moldy, musty couch sitting in our living room. Definitely would not recommend to live in.
