Twin City Construction LLC

We contracted with Jeff Strohaug from Twin City Construction, LLC (Deadwood , SD) to replace shingles, facia and possibly plywood (extra). We signed the $28,000 contract July 6, 2022 giving Mr. Storhaug $10,000 down payment. He demanded full payment ($18,300) July 15 as he was leaving soon for his Arizona vacation. Not long after we received a certified notice that a lien had been placed on our home for $11,801.12 by Builders First Source for non-payment for roofing materials. Jeff Strohaug’s wife (Kate) called us blaming Builders First Source and the bill would be paid. Obviously, that was untrue as we were contacted by a collection agency ( Goldman/Walker) Nov. 30 demanding payment. So, now our roof costs over $40,000 and possible damage to OUR credit. Mr. Jeffrey Storhaug made an additional $12,000 (rounding) without lifting a finger. All I have to say to the Storhaugs at Twin City Construction, LLC is HAPPY HOLIDAYS, YOU SHOULD FEEL ENRICHED!!!

Storhaug a partner with Twin City Construction LLC of Deadwood South Dakota took a $23,305 deposit, 1/2 of the total cost, to tear off and shingle with Euroshield HP Vernont Slate, tear off existing siding and install house wrap and 4" Tru Cedar siding, wrap windows and three entryways, wrap three front pillars, replace 16 storm windows, install ridge vent and new fascia over gable ends. His workers installed shingles on house but not my shed, which was part of the job. He returned to job sight and absconded with the remainder of shingles, the use of which were intended to complete the project. I've called him 23 times and recieved no answer and no return of my call. These attempts are noted on my cell phone. I did manage to reach him when I used an unidentifiable line to make contact. He told me he was waiting on parts on the two occasions I managed to speak with him. He additionally made attempts to bully me. The contract was accepted on on June 9 2021. Today the date is October 2 2022. My new contractor called him five minutes after I made my last failed attempt, Storhaug answered on the third ring, so he's screening calls. No effort has been made by Storhaug to return any of the money he received for the contract he defaulted on. I've gone to the Lawrence County Sheriffs Police and filed a criminal complaint against Storhaug, it's currently being reviewed by the Lawrence County States Attorney, John Fitzgerald.

These guys did a fantastic job. Very professional. Will and his Dad made all the arrangements and got out of the way for the 5 installers to go to work. They finished our roof in about 5 hrs. Flashing matched the color scheme and vents were installed. I highly recommend Twin City for your construction needs. Service: Roof repair
