I was told $100 to mount and balance tires. I dropped them off and when I picked them up he said now it's $120 because it took him longer than he thought.
I've had him mount two other complete sets of tires this very year and I always used to recommend him.
I had a $10 tip waiting on him after he finished. But if the extra $10 is worth going from the person that I always recommend to the person I'll never recommend again, so be it.
I would have had no problem paying the $120 if that's what I was quoted. I just don't like being baited and switched. He waited until he mounted and balanced all of the tires before the price changed when I was sitting there the whole time and he could have said at any given point that the cost would be different.
