I bought my home new in 2020. A week before I moved in there was mold found in the master bedroom. They came to fix it and the dude put the wrong stuff on it so it came back, they sent someone else out to fix it and now its back. My window is leaking again. Woke up to a soaked floor this morning, all my trim on the inside it coming off, every cabinet door in the house has fallen off. One of my bedroom is leaking right at the closest entrance. Closet doesnt look done in one of the bedroom. I ADVISE PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM WHEN CONSIDERING TO BUY. It was the worse mistake I ever made. My trailer has fail apart since the day I got it

Paperwork states that the northwood has 2x6 exterior walls well take a section of sheet rock down to run lights to your porch and you find out that they are 2x4 not 2x6 Clayton homes my freind s thats called bait and switch not at all medows homes fault but Clayton Giles

If I could give 0 stars I would! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THE worst experience of my life. Suppose to be the happiest time for me and my wife this is our first home and it has been absolutely HELL! We will be selling it asap!

I foolishly read the reviews and thought, most people don't review if they don't have issues with a company.
This company is great to deal with at the beginning and through the home loan process, but the issues come crashing down soon as you sign the paperwork.
All we need is the footers and for our home to be delivered and set as our property has everything else. 2 contractors and a month in - no shows and zero communication, from the contractors or the service people. We did have one show up, but then promised that the work would be done and no call/no show.
I was told not to worry or stress that it would be seamless after the home arrived. HA! All I want is communication and no one will answer us to let us know what is going on. I expect delays due to weather but to just not call, text, email or show up when promised....this is NO WAY to do business.
Read the reviews and believe that this is a nightmare dealing with this company after closing.
EDITING to add more..... be aware that when your home is set (not when you get the keys), you will start paying your mortgage 30 days later. 2 months later, we are still not in our home and are waiting on inside to be completed. Our A/C unit does not work and if they come as promised this week to complete house, will not be able to live in it without A/C. The HUD inspector came out and failed several things around the house, one being the grading. We corrected the grading and last week the contractor came out and installed a moat around our house to "fix" the grading. We had started putting in our driveway and now part of our driveway is in our back yard and we will have to pay more money to get additional rock as our driveway is a disaster now. Water is still standing in our "moat" and under our house where it was not at before. Plus, we cannot lay the block due to the dirt being pushed in over the concrete. We can't get anyone to give us a true answer on anything. Then we were told that the inside of the home would be completed this week, granted there is still 2 1/2 days left this week but no word on what day. Called Giles that is supposed to finish the home and they are about as much help as Meadows. They stated they would get to it when they could and would not give me a time. We live on the property in a camper and it would be courtesy to let someone know when to expect people on their property.
I'm beyond frustrated and at this point I'm calling all business bureau they are members of, plan on calling news channels as there are LOTS of people with issues from Meadows and if I don't get a response, I will take this to court as this is unacceptable. I plan multi-million dollar projects yearly and if we were to continually have these issues, we would be out of business. For a company that prides themselves on customer service and make as much money as they do off people, they should really look into helping people and not just taking their money. This company is horrible, my experience has been horrible, and if you read other reviews.....BELIEVE THEM ALL!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
