Watch your valuables! While staying there, they had an ex employee breaking into the rooms with a master key. He was going floor to floor. He got my credit card information. The security at the hotel admitted it was an ex employee. Definitely do not feel safe there. After he was arrested they offered no condolences about 3 cards being charged and having to file fraud claims.
Safety: Room was broken into while staying there

The Peabody Hotel is a historical *luxury hotel, noted as the grand hotel of the South. Numerous celebrities, political figures, etc. have visited here. Additionally, many social events, meetings, and wedding have been held here. The hotel has kept much of old architecture and design. Personally, I think its tip-toeing the line of historic and outdated as far it being an operating hotel.
The food is decent, but nothing to rave about. Similarly, I had the same experience with the drinks.
Lastly, the rooms and bathrooms are extremely small. The pool is as well, and located inside.
They still carry on the tradition of the Duck Master and Marching Ducks. Its definitely something to see and fun for the family.
Do I need to go back? No. But its an experience. If you have the time and the money (its about $500/night), Id do it once.
Nearby activities: Beale Street.
Safety: I had no concerns about safety.
Walkability: 3min walking from Beale Street
Food & drinks: Ample restaurant and bar options.
Noteworthy details: Historic luxury hotel, the grand hotel of the South.
