First let me say I went to this office for almost two years and Dr. Butler along with majority of the actual staff was extremely kind and pleasant. My issues lie with the front desk- Allison and the new African American female whom I cant recall her name- are both very passive aggressive. Secondly, I was told I needed my fillings re-done and I informed them I had never had a procedure as such. They insisted and completed the re-do. From there, my experience with them soured- one of my back teeth began to chip (and continues to) and each time I went back with a new chip I was charged for something totally out of my control. I completely stopped going to this office because it became clear to me there was no interest in fixing the issue they created but only the desire to profit off their mistake. Just to update here, the front desk assistant, TK is still very nasty. I called in to give this dental office a second chance via ortho and she said you left us a nasty review are you sure you want to come here? SHE was apart of the main problem via my review above. Im happy she confirmed she hasnt changed, the environment is still toxic and it wasnt worth giving it another try.

while they're all very nice, the actual dental work is pretty awful. The dentist removed large portions of my teeth for very small cavities and spent about half of the appointment watching the television. I still get random pains in those teeth over a year later. I've since had them looked at by another dentist, who agreed. I really wish I had never gone here. Edit in response to the reply: I posted this under a fake name to avoid confrontation, my name isn't Micheal with a B. I followed up several times. While you've edited your response to make it slightly more professional (you still pass the blame to the patient immediately), the fact that you tried to look at my medical record at your home in the middle of the night is exactly why I used a fake name.

Where to even begin (in a good way)?! The fact that my son left his Hermitage Dentist with sedation, video games, and prizes should tell you everything! Very caring. We are not just a chart number. They actually listen to the patient and that has been rare in my medical journey.

At Fortress Dental, we strive for a great experience at our office. We always try to accommodate the patients schedule with our schedule. We definitely want our patients to come into the office as soon as possible to take care of their oral needs. We do understand appointments may have to be missed but no problem. We are always happy to reschedule to the earliest date available. We ask that our patients just give the office a call or text to let us know.On our initial appointments, Dr. Butler gives a comprehensive examination. She presents a treatment plan to all patients. The treatment, radiographs, and pictures are reviewed with the patient during the first visit. We like to make sure the patient understands what is going on inside of their mouth and how to stay on the healthy mouth track. Dr. Butler recommends dental treatment according to the American Dental Association guidelines. It is unethical of any doctor to recommend any unnecessary treatment to a patient. We make sure we stay ethical and true to ourselves at Fortress Dental. We wish you the best on your dental journey. Please feel free to call the office.Thank you!

Sorry, we do not have you as a patient of record! It is not standard of care to remove large tooth structure for "small cavities". However, prior to doing any procedure, all of our patients are counseled on cavities that are deep or close to the nerve possibly needing root canals and/or crowns. Patients with any post-op sensitivity are counseled to inform the doctor after the appointment so that a solution could help alleviate any discomfort. If a patient does not follow up, then, we have no recourse to help them. I would expect after seeing the other dentists this should have been resolved after a year.Good luck to you and the next dental office.
