We waited 45 minutes in a crowded waiting room with our 4 week old, and an additional 45 minutes to even see Dr. Akor, who was rude and rushed. She insisted I hand over my baby and go sit down when I wanted to stand near to watch the exam. The tech didn’t use gloves when putting drops in my infants eyes until I asked her to. I am so frustrated, exhausted, and disappointed with our experience. I don’t want to go back. Edit: We did go back to see Dr. Akor after speaking with the practice manager about why it took so long to be seen and our overall experience, we appreciated the communication and support. This appointment went much smoother with Dr. Akor as she also took time to communicate with us during the appointment.

Treated my niece like she was not worthy of services. Don't come to her if you need anything for someone you love.

Dr. Akor is professional and answers all questions regarding my granddaughters eye health. She makes recommendations which have been successful and is very knowledgeable. Her staff is cordial and welcoming, with all Patients making sure they are taken care of in a prompt timeline. If all Dr.'s were like her, it would be absolutely a wonderful day at the Dr.

Dr. Akor listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions. She and the entire office was courteous and professional. Most importantly, our young son feels very comfortable and looks forward to his appointments.

First experience at this office, with this Doctor. First she needs to be in a different profession, second if you are going to ask your patients parents, If they have any questions. Then try and catch and attitude, and get defensive when questions are asked. Find a different profession, not dealing with children. She was okay, until she came back and said "that glasses weren't going to help my son, so what questions do I have about the surgery". Without even telling me why they wouldn't help, without glasses even being tried out. First she said she was going to see if he qualified for glasses, if so we would try them for a month and see if they help. If not, then he would probably need surgery. After dilating his eyes, and coming back. She made the above statement rudely. Then when I asked her how did she know the glasses wouldn't work. She said because he has mild astigmatism, and isn't near sighted. Then again said "So what questions do you have, besides that you don't want your son to get eye surgery to fix his eyesight" in a rude manner. Not once did I make that statement. Piece of advice, when you ask parents that question. Don't get defensive because they have questions. Secondly, do not answer rudely or be rude to the patients or parents. You are supposed to make them feel comfortable!!! I will be getting a second opinion, I have already seen a few bad reviews on her, and her attitude etc. Also a bad review on the condition she stated my 6 year old has. Where she made the eyesight of that patient worse.. Change your attitude and approach to patients and parents. Or change your profession!!
