these guys keep calling, violating the "do not call" list, lying about their intent, lying about the "do not call" list, lying about..... everything. The company lost a huge class action lawsuit regarding their practices. Every web site where they are rated has them at the bottom of the heap. They are scum. Their business model basically involves them screwing people out of a huge membership fee, then refusing to provide refunds to unsatisfied customers. Stay away.

I have been a DB member for 5 years and we have saved tens of thousands of dollars. My membership is in Pittsburgh and we furnished our second home in Austin for half of what we would have paid for the items in a furniture store. It is NOT a scam and like the other member, I hate seeing derogatory remarks.

We were contacted by Direct Buy for a 90 minute sales pitch. We were expecting the usual high pressure sales tactics of this type of an organization, but deiced to go anyway. We scheduled our appointment for 6pm and arrived at 6:05 due to poor directions by the scheduling party. We were able to find the location with Google maps! However, upon arrival we were told that we could not join the group that had just started, along with another couple that was late due to high traffic in the area. Normally I wouldn't think much of this, but this group had us drive 40 miles only to be turned away...I will NEVER do business with this organization. I cannot understand how a business would turn away a prospective customer because of their own negligence. After reading countless other reviews of this company and their business practices I would highly recommend you research them before you even step foot in the door. Poorest customer service EVER! BAD, BAD, BAD, and then BAD.

I went in to see how this place works as I have some remodeling to do. Sales pitch also included how you can buy gifts for your friends for practically nothing...Like a knife that was part of the front display...salesman said you could buy for like 10 bucks and would cost a LOT more than that if bought any where else...First of all you have to buy a membership that cost a minimum of 2000 to even see what the prices are like......I was told over the phone I could come in and see what their prices were like and than at the end was told I couldn't see the merchandise unless I purchased a membership but that I would save at least 10 percent...Really? I can wait for an item to go on sale and save more than that...Even granite suppliers have sales...I was given a generic tablet for attending the presentation and if it represents the type of products they have than its all crap. The tablet lasted about a week and a half and would no longer come on even when it is on the charger...If I was to buy 10 of these and give them as gifts it may be cheaper but its a crappy product that I wouldn't want to give as a gift if it is going to break right away and than have no way to replace it....Not worth your time people!
