Avoid! I met with one of their counselors, Britni Slocombe, last week, and she was the absolute worst person I've ever met in the mental health profession, and I'm 54 so I've met many. She was condescending and patronizing, which was especially odd since she looked to be about 30, didn't seem very intelligent and wore tight jeans with high heels. I haven't met a more unpleasant person in many, many years. She picked the wrong fieldshe definitely should not be working with people. Hoping I can spare others out there from having this same kind of experience. Disappointing to say the least.

I just finished my 5 week IOP with ACPC. I cant stress enough how smoothly the process went. First communication with Kathy was on point. She verified my insurance and got back with me promptly. I was scheduled a few weeks out but she contacted me the next day and they had an opening that week. So I started about 3 weeks earlier than first anticipated. My intake session with Britni was extremely througho. It was hard putting private stuff out there to a stranger but if your ready for the help then it has to be done. I in no way felt uncomfortable, well kinda but not from Britni. She was completely professional. When we finished and she listed my target behaviors I was blown away with the accuracy of her evaluation. First class I doubted I belonged there but by the end of class two I was seeing how much I needed this. Britni is a great teacher with enough this is life lets learn to navigate it to being compassionate to your particular situation. She made the classes interesting and easy to follow. I highly recommend this course. I had 5 people and everyone was encouraging and easy to talk in front of. I look forward to putting my skills to work

I wanted to express my gratitude to the treatment team(Britni and Kathy) regarding my recent experience at ACPC. I successfully completed the program recently and its one of the best things Ive ever done for myself. I did not know what to expect initially, but appreciate the information provided during the intake which was direct, knowledgeable and validating. Britni was very thorough in explaining what to expect and how the group was run, which helped me buy into this process a little more. She was also spot-on with my target behaviors, as if she had been working with me for most of my adult life. I was so excited to attend group everyday and eager to learn more and more as the 5-weeks progressed. I feel that my experience has been transformative and it was worth every minute. My Psychiatrist and therapist are please with my progress and there was also great communication between the ACPC team and my providers. Kathy was a great support and resource for me by explaining my insurance benefits and greeting me daily, which was so warm and genuine. I really felt these two women were focused on providing great treatment and a great experience. I cant thank ACPC enough for everything, and ultimately saving my life- I got my life back!!

I completed my 5 week IOP DBT skills prigram and it has truly transformed my life. I have tried so many methods in the past to get a handle on my depression, anxiety, and cognitive distortions, but nothing STUCK like this has. The clinician, Britni, is such an effective therapist. Her level of passion and commitment is felt in every single class and I feel that she is another reason why this program worked so well for me. Thank you to ACPC for what you do for the community. I HIGHLY recommend this program to everyone and anyone who needs some help and encouragement navigating through mental illness on any level.
