One of the hardest things to come to terms with is the nearing end life of a parent. My mother was always very strong and did not give up on anything easily. When her cancer came back and her doctor suggested hospice, my mother was scared they would not take care of her well, even in her own home. I had no idea at the time how much hospice would help my sister and myself deal with the end stages of life for my mom. Having someone there with you to explain to you what is happening and what may happen soon, was so helpful and comforting for us. My mother came to trust and care of the nurses, her CNA and the sitters that stayed with her and they all came to love my mom as well. We will always be grateful that we found Del Cielo and that they made it possible for us to spend the last days with my mom and that she was able to pass peacefully without any discomfort or pain.

My parents were afraid of hospice. My dad didnt want to get put on hospice because of the horror stories they had heard from previous family members. After being in the hospital with non hodgkins lymphoma he was told he was nearing the end and so he chose to come home on hospice hesitantly. Del Cielo staff were angels. They made the process so easy for us. They gave us the option to care for my father in his end days or they offered care in home. We chose to care for him ourselves but still the nurse came out daily to check up on us. Any equipment he needed from incontinent items to a new bed oxygen everything he needed was immediately beought out to my parents home. We just needed to ask and it was there. When dad finally passed the nurse assisted us in cleaning his body so that family could come in and see him before he was taken. She dressed him and combed his hair. The amount that they care for their patience really shows. They are exceptional!!! I never would have put my parents on hospice but now I am not afraid of hospice anymore. Del cielo is definitely the way to go. Thank you so much for caring for my dad and us as well and taking the time to train us to better care for him. ❤
