Ray's reputation not withstanding. What was Ray's is now Service City. What appears to be - from my experience with them - nothing more than a bad home warranty call. More interested in a quick buck than resolving issues. I've dealt with Ray's in the past and this is NOT them. As an update: They did honor their money back guarantee. I got it in the mail - and promptly.

Another update. The service manager said that I would be receiving a small rebate discount by mail. So I updated my review. Never received the rebate. Update: Contacted one of the service manager for explanation of pricing. Satisfied with the response. Nice customer service. Upgraded the rating based on the information. As I stated before, the service technician was tops as was the work performed. The 3 stars is for what I believe is a large markup on parts. The technician was professional and entirely capable. I have no problem with the service. Had a circuit board replaced in the HVAC and the price seemed excessive. I don't have a lot of experience in repair pricing but for time, effort and parts, the cost seemed very high. I understand that Ray's Emergency Air was purchased by another company, but I do not recall the name right now. Responding to the owner... The pricing was upfront and I did agree to the cost. It is just afterward that I began to wonder if the price might be well above the average cost. Almost $1000.00 to replace an HVAC circuit board?

Beware of these people! Our AC quit running and they told me I needed a new condenser and air handler for a total of $7,500. I called a second company and they came over and fixed the problem by installing a new accumulator for a total of $600. They also informed me that that our condenser was in good shape and that if we had needed a new condenser and air handler, the cost would not have exceeded $5,000. If you're smart, you'll go elsewhere.

An older lady in our church had her old unit go out right in the dead of summer. She called Ray's and they sent a tech out who put in window units to keep her cool till the A/C was installed. They had her fixed up in a snap! Her bill has gone down considerably, which made her even happier. When it's time for me a new one, I know where I'll take my business. They are definitely honest above reproach

I had a pleasure working with Ray's Emergency Air. After dealing with another vendor, I asked Ray's Emergency Air for a second opinion. Their technician Domingo was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive, respectful, knowledgeable and happily answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend them.
