I've been going to this Walgreen's for Decades. I've seen the Staff (Pharmacy and Store) change several times. After reading some of the reviews (negative ones in particular) I can't help but think that the reviewers came in on a normally slow day and then the day became very busy, the normal staff were not on duty (possibly a weekend with a temporary/substitute Pharmacist), the reviewers were experiencing a bad day, et cetera. This Store is great and is Staffed by great people! Sometimes people go in to refill a prescription that they didn't call in ahead of time or one that is not ready to be refilled...this takes time. Regarding Flu vaccines & Medicare cards, I'm sorry I find this hard to believe unless you have some other additional insurance which may interfere with your Medicare; remember, if you have a Medicare Supplement or Advantage Insurance Company then the Pharmacist has to abide by what that Insurance company states and not what Medicare states; however, the Medicare Supplement or Advantage Insurance program must comply with all Medicare rules, regulations and requirements, so check with your Insurance company if you are having Medicare Issues. Regarding waiting 3 weeks for a Prescription: well, based upon the date of the review I believe I was in line with you while this was taking place. The Pharmacy was extremely busy that afternoon, there was a full compliment of Staff (2 Pharmacists and at least 5 Pharmacy Techs); one Pharmacist and one Tech devoted all their time to resolve your situation but, nothing would please you and you kept raising your voice and pounding your keys on the counter. You also didn't call your prescription in ahead of time and expected them to have it available just for you. Instead you had your prescription transferred from CVS to Walgreen's because CVS didn't have it in stock either. As you left stating in a very loud voice that you were taking your business back to CVS do you remember that little voice in your left ear saying, "Good luck with that.?" That little voice was me. I know CVS couldn't help you and you probably waited longer. Specialized Prescriptions take time to process and must go through a different Department of Walgreen's Corporate before they get to the store, or sent to your Prescribing Physician. Regarding "Rita" not selling Tylenol because you didn't have a Texas ID; well, that is the Law in Texas...no OTC medications, alcohol or tobacco without a "Valid Texas ID." Of course there is room for discretion but, then "Corporate Policy" kicks in and the Staff have no choice, in some cases. Regardless of any bad reviews, this is a great Walgreen's with great Staff!
