My kids ages 3 and 8 months lasted a week before I pulled them out. Their 1st day, my oldest came home with a skinned knee. No big deal, as kids do play and accidents happen. However, when her dad and i asked her what happened she informed us that kids kept pushing her down the slide. I asked her did she tell a grown up she said no, I then asked where was the grown up she said she didn't know. She had a bandaid on her knee so an adult must've given her the bandaid right? NOPE, my daughter told me a big kid gave her the bandaid. So of course the next day I brought it up and was told there's a kid that likes to pass out bandaids. Although that could very well be true, why were none of the adults aware my child had been hurt? Anyways fast forward.. day 2 was better. Until my 8 month old comes home sick. So im irritated but not really blaming the daycare because hey kids get sick. And a cold isn't the worst thing. Well, once dropping her off the next morning Im told "oh that baby is really sick" so i ask why is she here getting the other kids sick. Response was because she doesn't have a fever or diarrhea.. So now almost a week later my baby is STILL dealing with a cold constantly having discharge from her eyes that my 3 year old and I have both caught. Fast forward to later in the week, as I'm leaving there's a baby no older than 18 months (he could've been younger I just don't know his age) attempts to follow me out the front door. I grabbed his hand and walked him back to a teacher who nonchalantly walked him back into the center. In the mornings the kids are EXTREMELY loud, kids will be kids right? But why the kids were not under control I have no idea. My daughter would be overwhelmed with the noise level and sit by one of the teachers and cry saying she was nervous. Oh and i was also told by the teacher in the baby room that she didn't have a CPR license. Huge red flag. The center has good intentions just a few minor issues i could no longer over look. I will speak highly of Ms.Keisha she does an amazing job with all the chaos never raising her voice. Ms. Janet is great as well as Ms.Columba. They need more staff to accommodate all the screaming kids. The end of the straw for me was when i dropped my kids off and about 15 kids (plus or minus) are just screaming, whinning so loud and only one teacher there handling them. Another one eventually showed up but if they were staffed properly one person running behind or calling in shouldn't leave the kids to all be handled by one person. Oh i also never recieved a handbook after asking EVERYDAY. I was emailed one prior to my kids enrollment however had informed 4 different people i was unable to download the handbook sent to me via email. Also never met the director until I was withdrawing my kids attempting to make my co pay.. Overall, i wouldn't reccomend until they have more staff available to accommodate all the kids and they should have a rule for no cellphone usage by employees since they rarely and i mean rarely answer the phone for the center.
