The pay for Varsity Tutors is disrespectful towards tutors. They do not pay you for preparing lessons, only the lesson itself. So if you had to spend an hour preparing the session, materials and reading what the student sent before hand they do not pay for that. So professionals with bachelor's degrees, masters or even doctorate degrees get paid $15.00 an hour. I do not recommend Varsity Tutors.

Have zero experience with service other than being Hot box to spend $2300 before even giving it a try. What a whipping, I am sure the tutors are probably great but told them I was not willing to pay $2300 up front without giving the the service a try. No thanks.

This is the best spot to get fun educational classes for your kids. My kids finished the Dino class and immediately asked to sign up for several others. We have our month planned now with amazing classes thru VT! Thanks for all you do!

Our high school sophomore was having a hard time with her Math (Algebra II / Geometry) studies at the start of the fall semester. There was talk she would be dropped from the Honors program if she did not get her grades up. She really needed to shore up her foundational understanding of the material from last year and get caught up on the new material. We had used VT for the ISEE training for both our children. We are happy to report that the tutor paired with our daughter, Anna, performed above our hopes. They met weekly and additional sessions before tests. The grades came up ( 100 on the final test of the semester) enough that she was in no danger of being dropped. She received the second highest grade in the class on the first test in Spring semester. However, the grades are not even the best part. Her confidence and character are the real wins here. Anna has been patient but firm and reminded our daughter that not only could she do the work but she could excel!
