Don't remember much of this because of the shock of being told your daughter has a learning disability. I do remember the MRI took all of our money at the time. Now its been 26 years later and my daughter still has the same issues if not worse. Never have been able to get help with disability for her and to help me as well. My husband died and I cant handle this by myself anymore. How does one get help for a child now adult with disabilities. We are both at our wits end and thinking very bad thoughts but we are tired of the struggle. There should be help for these unfortunate situations. How is the question, filed for ssDi told no. Why do you need a attorney to get help for something that can be proven?

If you aren’t happy with TX Children’s Neuro, RUN to Think Neurology! My son has a rare issue that TX Children’s brushed off and ignored for three years. The wait times for appointments at TX Children’s neuro are awful and the drs are more interested in pushing pharmaceuticals for profits, then they are with finding and fixing the root cause of your child’s issue. If you want a neuro team with short wait times for appointments and drs who actually sit and listen and believe parents, who look for causes of issues, and real solutions, make an appt at Think Neuro. I regret playing games with TX Children’s for as long as I did. If your child is a patient at TX Children’s Neuro and you have any doubts about their care, please please please at least make a second opinion appt with Think. Don't wait like I did. Take this as a sign to get a second opinion with Think.

Why is nobody answering the phones?! I have been trying to schedule my sons appointment w/neurologist on MyChart and it won’t let me do it. Now I’ve been on hold for over 30 min!
