Dos Plumas Hunting Ranch

Finished my 4th hunt at Dos Plumas over labor day weekend. Very successful as always. Brice was very amiable and professional, he is truly a fine person to the bone. I also got to meet Josh and Dave who work the ranch and these 2 were as great as I come to expect fro the Dos. I have been going there about every 6-7 months and look forward to it. Never any hidden costs, totally as advertised. One last item, I have met over 20 hunters from all over and everyone seems to click each time I'm there. Dos seems to bring strangers together like friends, AWESOME!

This was not a good experience for my group of four. We got there at 6pm as the website said and and didn't hunt till 10am the next day. We didn’t see any hugs during the day. He said to let him know if you want to shot a goat and I texted him from the stand with no response. I didn't see a hog during 4 hunts. There was always goats at the feeders. A couple of others in my group saw a hog at night but website didn’t say we should bring night vision scopes as it was hard to see at night. Only little lights from flash light and feeders wasn’t offered any compensation after spending almost 500 without seeing a hog.

Dos Plumas was a great experience for my son and I. We met some great people, had several shot oppurtunities while we were there, and overall had a great time. My recommendation for those considering the hunt is to listen to Brice, ask questions, and if you will be hunting in the dark bring a good green light.

What a great experience! I went here as a solo female hunter and had a fantastic time. The lodging was comfortable and air conditioned. Brice was very kind and hard working, an absolute pleasure to meet. I chose a hog/ram combo, and harvested a ram. There was no shortage of hogs, I just got unlucky (it's still hunting). Definitely will be returning!

I chose Dos Plumas to cut my teeth on my first archery hunt on 8/11 and 8/12/2021....wound up having the most EPIC hunting experience of my life! I will be back as soon as I can. Listen to Brice, the ranch manager, and if you have the honor of meeting them- Allen and Lori, the owners. They are all extremely knowledgeable, honest, fair, and most importantly ETHICAL. I've learned more about hunting in 2 days than i have in 20 years. Hats off to Dos Plumas! This is what hunting is supposed to be.
