So first, the negative. Sometimes the wait can be pretty long, but that only means that that doctors are taking time with their patients. If its like that, they shouldnt be scheduling a patient every 15 minutes. Second, sometimes they have issues with scripts being there and sometimes they arent. Sometimes the doc signs them right away, sometimes youre sitting for 30 minutes. Now for the positive. This is the best part! I initially saw Dr. Khan for my consultation. He literally spent 45 minutes with me and answered every single question i could think of. Since I had not been to a pain management in a couple months, it was very important to both him and I to start getting me comfortable immediately and thats what he did. He started me back on my medication and added one that he thought could help, something my last doctor never suggested. It just showed me that he actually cares about his patients and their quality of life. Now that I am an established patient, i usually see a nurse practitioner every month, but sometimes i end up seeing a doctor, recently being Dr. Culling. And Dr. Culling was just as good, if not better. Every month, they (doc or NP) sit down and are willing to answer every question you have, to the best of their knowledge As with every patient that sees a pain doc, we have a fear of being removed from the regimen that is current working for you. At this place, I feel like that fear is minimal, as their compassion is very genuine. All of the nurses there are AMAZING!! Ive never had a single bad experience with any of the nurses there. Lastly, because most people forget. The people who answer the phones are always so sweet. There is a lady named Ellen at the waco location (i go to the killeen location) that just sounds so sweet, but ive never met her. All other people are nice. Sometimes getting a call back can take a little chunk of time. Just overall, an absolutely wonderful group. I recommend this Pain Group to every person who is even thinking of going to a pain management group.

Jennifer Hudson is a shining example of what a wonderful patient advocate should be. She listens to what I say and actually cares how I feel. She has made a huge difference in my pain management and Im so glad she is my point of contact at Advance Pain. Chronic Pain is not fun and most people dont understand and she has made it easy to discuss openly and honestly and I really appreciate it.
