Big Country Trees

I have very little knowledge of trees, so I contacted Big Country Trees to give me advice on what to do and how to care for my trees. Don arrived the next day and personally walked me around my yard pointing out what I should watch for, how to prune, and how to best care for my trees. I can tell he knows what he is talking about and I appreciated how he took the extra time to try and teach me about the trees in my yard.

I tried to tell him I received just one call in 18 months. I tried to tell him that in that call, the lady and I had spoken and she had accidentally left the 2 paper notices at my neighbor's house. I tried to tell him I would have called the nice lady, but I didn't know her number, so I reached out via email to the company. I tried to talk about the trees, and what we should do next. I hadn't complained or made a peep in these 18 months, and my trees were suffering. I tried to be polite, and I even tried to apologize for having my gate locked today, though I live in a world that requires locked gates for peace of mind. Don wouldn't listen. I sent an email 18 months after purchasing service, because I hadn't physically seen anyone since, and hadn't received a call back after my last communication with the tree injection lady. I wasn't angry, I just didn't quite know what to do. Don showed up at my doorstep the day after I sent the email and pointed out my backyard gate was locked, although he hadn't given me a call or time to prepare. He continued to insist that they couldn't do their job if customers had their fence locked. I couldn't get a word in edgewise, as he seemed to take offense with the very fact I had sent an email in the first place instead of asking, how are you, and what can we do for you? I had no intention of complaining, and yet no matter how much I tried to talk about the trees, he was on the defensive at every turn, saying people are always throwing away their notices, and one customer even found one in their kid's bedroom. I don't have kids, and it is very sad for me. He made me cry, telling me about my gate being locked and my dog being loose, as if what he found today explained everything that hadn't happened in 18 months. In no uncertain terms, it was all my fault, but I still tried to get him to focus on the trees. I forgive you for hurting me, Don, despite not giving me one single shred of kindness or customer service. I will pray for you and love you as a child of God, but please, never come back.
