I have dealt with the Hurricane city police and the court service on many occasions and they were very professional.

I had a possession charge here for less than a gram of marijuana. I am not from Utah and the amount of money it would take to appear in court would be absurd. So the clerk worked with me on a "solution" which did not incur absurd charges for me. This solution is to send them a check for one thousand four hundred and ten dollars. For a misdemeanor. For less than a gram. It sure does seem like the city of Hurricane is hurting for money and is taking advantage of people who pass through. Find a different way through Utah, do not support the city of Hurricane in it's revolting extortionist tactics.
