Maple Creek Mill

We went in mainly to look for higher quality wood for a future project but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the wood was and the good prices. The people there are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's great to see a place like this so close to home.

Great shop and great service. I went in looking for a slab of wood and they were extremely helpful. The piece that I wanted needed to be planed and they planed it for me for an excellent cost. The wood I got was a great value for the money and I am definitely going back for future projects.

The shop is awesome, the service is fantastic, the prices were great, and the walnut I bought to make a desk for my wife has been a lot of fun to work with. I will be coming back for all future projects!

Edit after Maple Creek Mill Response and working with them in person: although it is disappointing the work was not done right the first time, their response was quick and willing to help do whatever it took to get it fixed or make it right. Sounds like this isn't something that happens every time so based off their response taking full responsibility and being willing to correct their mistake I have to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a one time issue and in the future they will inspect their work better before passing it off to the customer. Glad to give them 5 stars for how good they were to work with. Original review: The workers were kind and easy to work with which was good. However paying $200+ to flatten a slab to come out with chunks taken out of it in large sections on both sides especially on the back is not something I enjoyed, aside from all the chunks taken out there are also burn marks and router lines running the whole length on both sides making me assume their jig is not perfectly perpendicular, these are easy enough to sand away so not really a concern, but having to sand the deep chunks away in large sections makes me have to essentially plane the whole thing again myself and hopefully keep my board from having divits which defeats the point of me spending $200 dollars to flatten it in the first place.
