image When I had my auto loan with HFCU, they were not military friendly and would not do over the phone transactions for me while deployed. I understand the privacy issues and the risk of fraud, but when I know every aspect of my account its a bit ridiculous.
Once I paid off my loan I figured that Id keep a savings account with them for my emergency fund, only to find out that they drained my account with inactivity fees! This is worse than most fees accessed by banks. They refused to credit those funds back to me when I noticed this issue, and would only waive the overdraft fees for me to close my account.
Keep a close eye on your accounts. They are not military friendly in the slightest nor do they have the benefits that credit unions like Navy Federal have.

image Have tried on multiple occasions to contact hanscom via phone. Have waited every time for more than 20 min each time. Have yet to be connected to a person, unless I'm called by them. Smh very concerning

image I'm not sure which department is appropriate to send this note to. If this is incorrect, please forward my note to the right person.
I am writing to commend Doris Re. My wife, Joy, has been a member of HFCU since around 1970 and we have never met an individual who has been so knowledgeable, attentive, responsive and courteous to our needs and questions as Ms. Re.
Others have tried to help but have often had to transfer us to one or another more experienced person. When we reached Ms. Re, she not only was able to answer our questions immediately, or refer us to the appropriate person (who answered us right away), but made very educated suggestions about how to transfer some of our savings into accounts with better returns and do the actual transactions for us.
I understand Ms. Re has been ill for a while. When we attempted to contact her and were unable, we felt very much at sea. When her health improved, she contacted us and took care of our requests right away.
We hope she will be better soon and be able to continue for many more years with HFCU
She is so good and should have a well-deserved raise!

image If you enjoy hour-long waits on hold and having your accounts frozen every other day for "fraud," this is your bank!!! All I have to do is pass gas and BANG...my accounts are frozen. It's infuriating. I'm on hold right now AGAIN because I tried to purchase something with my debit card that Hanscom didn't like. I hate this bank. Once they unfreeze my accounts AGAIN, I'll be moving all my $$ to a different bank.

Trying to move my money from HFCU to another bank and my transaction is "under review" and "on hold." I AM NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE MY OWN MONEY. This is typical HFCU. Seriously, folks, run the other way.
