I've never had any issues with this insurance since switching last year. I also got a new vehicle in August and the insurance agent helped me with that seamlessly. My rates also stayed pretty similar and I always get a notice way ahead of time before my auto-payment comes out of my account. Thanks for all that you do!

I had to cancel my policy with this office today due to shady business practices. While in the process of getting married and moving out of my grandmother's home and into my new home with my husband, I was targeted by associates from the Allstate office of Cotten Jennings in Newport News regarding my uncle who also lived in the home with my grandmother. I was contacted by phone on two separate occasions and also by letter stating that they required me to provide proof that my uncle had an insurance policy of his own or they would automatically add him to my policy without consent. When I asked the reasoning behind this absurd request for me to provide documentation on an individual who is not my spouse or dependent I was told "he could be driving my vehicle". I informed both associates that under no circumstances has my uncle ever driven my vehicle nor was he authorized to drive my vehicle. This debacle continued for about 2 months. Over that time I got married and moved into my new home with my husband. I updated my registration and license officially through DMV with my new address and proceeded to update my address on my policy with Allstate with hopes that this would finally resolve this issue. I received confirmation via email that my address change had been processed and received a copy of my new policy reflecting my new address. Shortly after receiving my new policy reflecting my new address I received a phone call from Tammy (I believe that's her name) still very aggressively stating that I needed to provide them with documentation that my uncle has his own insurance policy although DMV records clearly reflect that we no longer live in the same household. When I asked why I was still being contacted about him her response was "he could have moved with me." This was the last straw for me because i'm not going to continue to pay this company for insurance while they continue to unrightfully question my integrity as a policy holder despite me being a faithful client for almost 2 years with no tickets during that time, no accidents caused ever, and even having received multiple awards for safe driving. It's unfortunate but I am glad to say that I have taken my business elsewhere. My next step is to have the rest of my family members who have policies with Cotten Jennings Allstate office to cancel their policies as well.
