We used Tom Martin for 2 projects in our home and will absolutely use him again. Not only was his craftsmanship impeccable, but he was prompt, very neat, and pleasant to work with. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the design and creation of a beautiful fireplace/tv surround and a cased transom wall opening. Can’t wait to hire him again for our bathroom remodels!

Martin Builders built and installed beautiful crown moulding throughout our home and installed custom, historic doors. Our house was built in 1943 - there is nothing straight or even about our home, but Tom was helpful in designing creative solutions to get the look we wanted within our older home. I highly recommend Martin Builders!

Tom Martin has completed 3 major home projects (over 2+ decades): a two-story addition, two total bathroom safety renovations in our older home, and preventative maintenance involving, slate roof, wood trim, replacement shutters and safety lighting. His work is high quality; he is dependable, conscientious and attentive to detail while striving to minimize construction inconvenience.for client and neighbors. Work ethic and integrity are beyond reproach.

In 2007 after spending five months in the ICU, my daughter was at Johns Hopkins for rehabilitation. She received a beautiful pot of red tulips. The card read "I thought you would like some color in your room!" The card was signed Tom Martin. Who's Tom Martin? We asked everyone. It turned out that Tom had heard about Lindsay's ordeal and wanted to help. When we returned home Tom built a ramp for her wheelchair. He also installed a lamp post that had been damaged by a tree that came down in a storm while she was in the ICU. He repaired the damaged roof as well. Tom joined forces with Lindsay's church to raise funds for a handicapped addition to my house. Unfortunately we had to use the funds for our daily living. Tom wasn't discouraged, he made several repairs to my house including refitting my existing bathroom to accommodate her wheelchair. I can't say enough about the kindness and generosity Tom showed us and continues to show us ten years later.

Tom has done extensive work on our home in the West end, which was built in 1948. He has installed new stair banisters, crown moulding throughout our first floor, and a custom entertainment center/bookshelf above our fireplace mantel, among other things. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are exceptional, and his pricing is very competitive. We enjoyed having him in our home and recommend his services highly.
