Hamilton, Mitchell & Assocs, Inc. is the absolute worst contractor I have ever dealt with! It took them three months to put together a 8 x12 deck that completely violated several County codes. The code violations were so severe I had to hire a new contractor to completely tear down and rebuild the deck. Despite all of this Hamilton, Mitchell & Assocs, Inc. did not refund my money. Do not hire this company, unless you want to flush a few thousand dollars down the toilet.

Hamilton, Mitchell is a remodeling contractor that is really a PROBLEM. Our kitchen is still Not Complete. It is just one person- Donald E. Mitchell. We signed a kitchen remodel contract on March 6, 2017, with anticipated completion by June. We are still waiting for the kitchen to be completed and it's October in 3 days. The problem is follow through with Mr. Mitchell. He is the great procrastinator. He is in our experience also a salesman who sells and then doesn't follow through. The great procrastinator delays, lies, and delays, lies more, and does not follow through. He rarely but sometimes replies to your communications. Look for and expect excuses and delays after a quick start on demo-ing your kitchen right away (now your stuck) and then nothing happens. We still are here without a sink and dishwasher after 2 more months. He gave the impression he had sources for materials like cabinets and granite counter tops at better prices as found in his definitely "low ball estimates" in his proposal. We ended up paying more than he estimated for the cabinets. We paid Home Depot ourselves although an "allowance" in part of the contract. The only time delays he said would be the 4 week wait for a cabinet order delivery and the 10-14 days for granite counters after the cabinets were installed. However, although promised he ordered the cabinets with out letting us review the order ahead as promised. He also promised frequent pictures to be sent to us when we were out of town. Of course the order was incorrect and a corrected order of glass cabinet doors and cabinets had to be made. We discovered later He never placed the corrected order. When the first order of cabinets was delivered on June 19th he requested a second $5000.00 payment because they would be installed the next day. Then he asked - you might as well send me the next payment of $3000.00 for the countertop order which was to be done the day after the cabinets were installed. That check was sent too but none of the promised work was done. He measured for counters but never paid to complete the order. More lies. We learned of the cabinet order errors in early June after I received the invoice. Immediately I wrote him in a text of the omissions and errors. He said no problem he just had to put in another order. We thought he made the 2nd order. He did not do that until we pushed him. Again the order was worked up at Home Depot but never sent in. It left off the shelf kit which I added and paid for the corrected order on August 22, more than 2 months later and after the June order. The corrected order was to be delivered about 9/15/17. This time it is being sent to our house as we do not trust that he will complete the project. Early July, We told him we were moving back in with our son on 7/25 and we needed the kitchen done before then. It was not done. Our paid for New appliances sitting in the dining room not hooked up. We spent too much on dining out. We emailed, we texted him, we called him and he ignored our attempts to find out his install schedule. We now believe he is having problems getting his "sub contractors" to respond due to his lack of payment. We do not know what to believe from him and whether he will ever complete our partially done kitchen. If not completed this week we will take a different action next. We will ask for the $5000 and $3000 payments to be returned so we can finish the job with someone else. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR- HAMILTON, MITCHELL & ASSOCIATES.
