Days before PCS'ing, we were becoming fearful of not finding suitable housing. There was so little available on the typical listing sites. Then I remembered this website from many years ago. I checked it out and walla! There was the house we needed. I'm thankful for militarybyowner.

Very pleased with the home we found to rent. Owner has been extremely responsive and open to answer all our questions. Not a lot of extra costs either, even for our pet. One area for improvement is maneuverability around website and the search options. Not as user friendly as other sites.

Military By Owner provided rental options in Ridgecrest, CA not found on the usual websites. At the moment, good rentals are hard to find and get picked up quickly, so having an alternative really helped us find a great place at a great price.

We found our next rental on MBO! The housing market was so crazy this spring (2021) and we started to get really nervous about finding somewhere to live in the DC area. We started out using sites like zillow and realtor and rentals were getting scooped up within 24 hours of being listed, which made us so uncomfortable. We finally started using MBO and had an excellent experience. Landlords were very responsive and we were able to visit every house we were interested in. We are so thankful to have found a great home with an awesome landlord (and we can bring our dog!). We are scheduled to move in on July 1. Thank you! I will say the app has a much better experience for looking at the pictures, but I liked that the website version allowed me to see if there was already a lease pending.
