This store has a great selection. A bit pricey but that is to be expected in a place like this.

An employee came and took 2 ornaments boxes out of our cart because they were sold online. If they were sold online, why weren't they taken off the floor? We came specifically for these boxes which are sold out online. Nobody offered a solution, and they were rude about their mistake. No other store would handle this situation so poorly.

The container store is a guaranteed annoying experience, but sometimes they just have what you need. This forces you to decide whether the item in question is worth said annoying experience or if you’re just better off without it. Just as an example here is how my one and only online pickup experience went: 1) placed order and got an email confirmation that my order was ready and stated “ Simply enter the store and go to the order pick up counter. Don't wait in line, just tell a salesperson you are there to pick up your order.” 2) following said instructions I was then promptly told I should’ve waited in line but that they would do it this one time. 3) I then waited for about 5-10min when someone came up to me with a shopping cart and said they were going to go retrieve my items i.e. order was not ready they go pick it upon your arrival (why? I coulda just done that) 4) got my shiz and left By no means a my worst retail experience, just annoying, and this is true for online deliveries, curbside and in-store shopping as well. Parking in the Lincoln Square North lot is the easiest. A complex sequence of elevators, stairs and/or escalators may be encountered if you accidentally park in the South lot! Anyway, you'll find it. Try not to be too distracted by all the shops and eateries all around there, though. It's a lot. And nice! Once you enter The Container Store you're in organizing central. It can feel like a nirvana or it can feel overwhelming to see all that stuff to organize your stuff! The comments others have made about some of the employees not being especially helpful does happen, but that is the exception, not the rule. We had one employee ignore us, but another one eagerly assisted us. Others were also helpful. You'll find all manner of baskets, bins, etc. They've got seasonal gifts and gadgets as well. Lots of choices. Yes, as others have said, some shelves are less stocked than others, but that's anywhere these days. Overall a good store with lots of interesting items that might make a difference to your home life and keep you inspired toward the neat and tidy.
