I worked with a couple stylists from here at a recent wedding. As a fellow vendor, I appreciated that they were friendly, professional, and punctual. Most important, they made my client look amazing on her wedding day!

My father went it and everyone was friendly but they made me sign a form. When he asked what it was for they said to keep count on how many people come through there school. When my father was finish his hair was still wet and went to the nearest McDonald to get a coffee and went to the restroom and he looked in the mirror and he noticed it wasn't straight and one side was longer than the other side. He went back not even ten minutes later and they told him THEY COULD NOT FIX IT because that was the paper he sign wasn't there fault if they messed up. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! There suppose to have an instructor look at before they are done and anyone can tell that my dads hair looks like a 5 year old cut it. Sorry but its the truth.

Since moving to Washington, I've tried two different salons. One was so blah I don't even remember the name. The second, Elle Marie in Bothell, was horrific. You would have thought the two sides of my head had been done by different people who couldn't see what the other was doing. After such a miserable experience, I figured I may as well try the local beauty school, because at least if someone screwed my hair up there, I wouldn't be paying an arm and a leg for it. I walked away from the Northwest Hair Academy THRILLED with my hair. Normally, I leave a salon satisfied, but not excited. I quickly devolve into ponytail mode. This is the first time I've left the salon with a desire to keep up a style with regular visits. And it only cost me $10! That's not to say the visit was flawless. After first contending with the nightmare of evening out the monstrosity the last salon left me with, Felicia did a lovely, but conservative version of what I was going for. When the cut was finished, she asked what I would change. I said that I'd go more extreme... shorter layers. At that, she dove back in and left me with a great look that I'm very happy with. The whole time, the teacher was a stone's throw away, ready to help with direction and questions. While the splotchy floors and total lack of decor might make some people yearn for one of those chic, high-end salons, the quality of the service I received will keep me going back.
