What a joke - this is the first sentence you see under Sentry Credit in the Bing search engine - 'Sentry Credit's goal is to create an agency that dispels the negative stereotypes of the industry and provides unparalleled success and service in a work environment that is fun and conducive'...failing miserably Sentry Credit, FAILING! I get it, this is a credit company, and quite frankly, it must be lonely, I imagine that you wouldn't tell people what you do or lose friends because of it. It has to suck to squeeze money from people, who in this economy don't have a ton of options to pay extra funds towards debts. I'm sure they've heard it all, check is in the mail, etc. but I legit, can pay the balance in full, 30 days from now because that will be when my loan is available, and they won't work with me at all and are garnishing my paycheck, now I can't pay rent and will be homeless, but they will get paid. Sometimes people can and do pay off debts, maybe be open to work with people, give them ONE chance instead of judging them based on unpaid debts. I mean, why try when you have a POS reputation to begin with, right?

The people at Sentry Credit, in their manager's own words are noticed by consumers as "incompetent". Absolutely true! My husband and I have accounts there, and when I would call to make payments on both our accounts (same day, same call) they would apply the payment only on my account, even when I would specifically ask if part of the payment was being applied to his account and my account, and Sentry Credit would confirm, yes. This is an issue because while my account is getting both mine and my husband's payments, his account is reflecting no payment, and that is not my intention and Sentry Credit's mistake. I have mentioned to Sentry Credit many times that I have had issues with payments being correctly applied to both my husband's and my account, they seem to not always take responsibility for it. "It is the consumer's responsibility to make these corrections the following payment day."- Sentry Credit manager, Gwen. As I mentioned to the manager "I am putting my trust in Sentry Credit to do the right thing and even when I double-check to make sure that both mine and my husband's accounts are getting paid monthly, I wish for our payment histories to reflect such." She wants to repeat herself that the total balance between his and mine are 'x' amount of dollars and ask me why is it important to have these adjustments made and what do I need the proof for? Need proof? Needing proof is not the issue, but it is my legal right to expect proof of payment. The real issue is, Sentry Credit and any other collection agency will hound you down to get a payment from you, but can not apply your payments correctly as you have stated. Then to put the blame on you for not noticing it right away and tell you, there is nothing they can do to adjust the payments to reflect your intentions of making monthly payments on both accounts? I call these people every two weeks to make a payment. Today, my intentions were to pay off mine and my husband's accounts and I do not feel comfortable doing so until these adjustments have been made so our payment history reflects my intentions of making monthly payments on BOTH our accounts. Incompetent and shady is what I would call it. At least I know that all calls are recorded for quality assurance and training purposes, which is on file that I have full intentions of paying both mine and my husband's accounts monthly. For my husband's account not being paid monthly is their mistake, not mine. (1 star only because I have talked to a couple decent people, and they have received some payments correctly. Mainly because I HAD to give them at least one star to post my review.)
