Had an emergency tree situation over the weekend. They were quick to respond and arrive. Took down the dangerous tree limb hanging off the roof, 35' up. Then came back 2 days later and cleaned up the tree that lost the limbs earlier. Hauled all debris away. Best of all for me - I had my fence and walkway decorated with lights for Christmas. Forgot to move them, since they would be in their way of hauling debris away. They unhooked the lights and moved them out of the way. When they were done, they put them all back.Very respectful. I don't often write reviews, but I think that it is important to support local business's that are worth supporting and this one is. I had two alders that were not the easiest to take out, the last one Russel had to use a block and tackle and load the rounds out as well, that is not easy work. Where they were is steep and the access from there to the driveway to take out the debris is not exactly a piece of cake either. There were other trees to trim and take out with this job and Russel gave me a fair and competitive bid for the work. The difference was, where others were pointing out how complex it would be, needing permits etc. Russel calmly explained that that simply was not the case. He was right. Not only is Russel and his crew easy to talk to, but Rachel is very on top of the office and as pleasant as anyone you have ever dealt with. She is also very responsive - if I asked a question, I got a response, sometimes within minutes, even later into the evening. When they have said they would show up, they showed up. What they said they would do, they did and they did it in some of the worst weather we have seen this winter. Snow, rain, sleet, wind and it was COLD, but Russel and crew went at it. Russel and Rachel are true to their word and true to their business and its people like them and the business's they run that we as communities should support. When my very large 100 year old pear tree blew down in a wind storm, I called Hemlock Landscape for an estimate. They contacted me right away and Russell came out the next morning to survey the situation and give me a quote. I was impressed by the way he climbed up on the downed tree and checked out my neighbors' yards which were also affected. His quote was in line with another company's quote, but his explanation of what was needed was more thorough than the analysis offered by the other company. The tree removal was scheduled within 24 hours. The crew began work at 7 am the next day in the rain and worked until 6 pm. Because they had to finish in the dark, they missed a few bits of debris. However, they came back to finish the clean up in the daylight. It was a tricky tree removal but thanks to Russell's expertise and the crew's diligence, it was a very successful one. I was impressed by the efficiency, know how, and consideration of everyone I had contact with at Hemlock L&R and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. Service: Tree removal
