My daughter has been going to Kumon for last one and a half years. We joined the Issaquah Gilman center Is since august 2021 and we love it here. Ms Angela is great with the students. She handles each student differently. She will work with my daughter the way she understands and never pushes her. That way kumon is always interesting for her and she is excited to go to center every time. One more thing which I really liked in this center is that I feel safe leaving my kid there. They make sure to accompany a kid to the parents car and wont let the kid leave alone. Overall We are very happy with kumon and particularly this center.

Both of our kids (4yrs and 6yrs) have been in Kumon since they were 3 years old. Weve been at the Issaquah Kumon with Angela since relocating to Seattle about a year ago. We cannot say enough great things about Angela and her ability to teach math and reading fundamentals through the Kumon method. She truly understands each students strengths and weaknesses and tailors the work according to their unique needs. She is incredibly patient and takes a hands-on role with her students. Our son has problems staying focused, and she has worked with him directly and given him the confidence to improve his math and reading skills. Thanks to Angela and her wonderful staff, both our kids are reading and performing math at levels well above their age/grade, which is setting them up for a very successful academic life.

My son has been with Angela in this Center for almost one year. Great progress progress has been made both in reading and math. As a 1st Grader, he has reached the level for 3rd Grade. My son likes Angela very much for her significant patience and luminous instructions. We prefer Kumon for him, for a few reasons. First, it can help my kid build up solid foundations of mathematics concepts and skills in a systematic way, with adjustable amount of practice. Second, it is flexible for kids start from any level, and help kid to locate the short and long poles in the learning process. Third, the reading and writing can be build up in the similar way, from letters, words, sentence, to paragraph and article. At last, I want to say, both math and reading is to build up the solid foundation of basic stuff, not for mathematics and spelling competitions. But those are enough for my kid now. If he will perform good in the both of reading and math, he should not be bad in those competitions. Skills can be achieved in short term if foundation is solid.

First of all, Kumon is a great course for kids for both mathematics and reading, not just because of the content but also because it teaches kids discipline of learning everyday. Once the kids get into a habit of completing the Kumon sheets everyday and that too correctly, they start improving in school with this habit and later with online courses in middle and high school. They can learn on their own and get credits. My son completed his reading this month. Angela has been a great instructor who keeps encouraging each kid. She awards trophies and medals as they progress in their achievements at regular intervals to keep them encouraged. She makes sure each student is provided time personally and that they are doing well at Kumon. Kumon Maths has helped my son complete his Algebra 2 in Middle school itself. This gives him an added advantage in High School. Thanks to Kumon.

My son started Kumon about a year ago. Ive seen him grow a lot. When he first started, he had trouble with basic reading. Ms. Angela started him at the right level which helped him build his confidence as well as constructing a good foundation. She is a very dedicated and responsible teacher. She reviews my sons progress very carefully and gives us feedback quite often. Based on my sons progress, Ms. Angela picks the right packets for him. I remember one time, my son was a bit stressed out when doing a math packet. When Ms. Angela found out about it, she reduced the number of pages. After that, my son felt more comfortable doing math. Now my son has built a very good schedule and he does his Kumon work everyday. He feels more confident on his learning as well. Thank you Ms. Angela and the Kumon program for helping my son improve.
