My ex wife was involved in a car accident back in September of 23 that she was found at fault for, so of course the insurance rates went up as expected. Went from 150, to 215$ In just Six months. Now I'm finding out they want to add an additional 115$ a month on top of the already raised rates from 2023 for the entire year of 2024 meaning iam now paying 330$ a month for basic coverage on a single vehicle. I went from paying 1800 a yr to 3960 a yr all from one single accident! Just want to be transparent with the community in regards to my personal experiences with amfam. This will definitely not help me pay off my open claim for 500$ and get my almost totalled vehicle back on the road literally less than 500$ away from being considered totalled! I even asked them about a lower deductible and they said i would have to pay even more monthly to get any lower than a 500$ deductible, obviously it's too late for that now considering they raised my prices over 60% already... So instead of that they took away some of my coverage to make the costs go down a bit more, once again only hurting my situation and not helping me. Also I'd like to mention it seems the Jeff kearin agency is more concerned about making money off of you in anyway possible rather than making sure you have a the lowest rates, lowest deductible, highest amount of coverage for the best prices etc. Also I was never once told about anything in regards to accident forgiveness. Keep in mind my driving record was flawless aside from a minor moving traffic violation and (now that accident that my exwife was involved with is on my insurance/driving record although i wasnt even driving) and ill have increased insuarance rate for at least 2 years now. I used to love this agency and thought they were kind and fair to me. Now iam seeing its all buisness nothing personal. They know I can't just switch insurance companies due to my open claim and they are really squeezing the lemons now. I had to let this be known considering the amount of 5 star reviews I've seen from people that probably havent even been involved in an accident while being insured under this agency. Also there response in regards to the increase in rates via email was (" On November 17th the state of Washington saw a rate change within their auto rates. This is the first increase in 3 years, but due to things like inflation, cost of materials, increased repair time, increased medical costs, distracted driving and record breaking number of claims the rates had to reflect this.) Take this whole message as you will I just have to share my experience with you!

UPDATE: out of no where we receive a debt collection notice for $33. No clue what its for as we were paid up in full at the time we cancelled our policies. This is the only bad mark on our credit. They need to correct this issue now. We found out today that American Family Insurance raised our rates (again), from $7000 a year (already roo high) to $10,000 a year. We have no bad driving records and no accidents. That is highway robbery.

AM FAM saved the day, that's putting it mildly and to be more specific Luke at the Lacey branch, went above and beyond for me. I was so overwhelmed by the time I reached out to him. I had just received my approval to finance my new car, after my car broke down a couple months prior. I had to postpone picking it up, because other insurance companies were not helpful and didn't even pretend to care. I had 1 other broker who was nice, but in the long run, nice isn't enough. what you need is someone who puts their time and effort into making sure you get the coverage you need at a price you literally can't beat. For me it was about half the amount others were asking and much better coverage bundling auto and renters. Then the cherry on top was Luke and the receptionist were extremely nice. I can honestly say, this has been my best experience ever, with a insurance company and I'm not getting paid to write this, it's just a symbiotic relationship, and they went above and beyond for me, so I can return the favor. Bonus you also get the opportunity to work with an amazing team; that's a triple win.
