A REALLY poor experience. We had a positive first visit here and scheduled a floor install. We had some specific needs around time and they were able to guarantee the floor install on that date with flooring we liked at a great price. So far so good. When we didn't hear anything we got a bit nervous and reached out. It turned out they'd claimed we hadn't paid. We'd given payment previously but they hadn't run it. Whatever, we gave the card # and got that going.
Next, they realized they hadn't charged us for extra materials (trim and so forth). We were getting annoyed but paid the extra. The measuring service was supposed to come by the house within a certain time window to double check measurements (this was a house we were buying and we had to work out the window to visit with the previous owners who had a very tense situation). The measurers came in much later than promised and that caused conflict with us and the previous owners. Now we were starting to get bothered but we tried to stick to the plan. We'd communicated these gaffes back to Overstock Flooring but there had been no further action or correction on their part despite a promise they'd talk to the owner and get back to us. The day before our install, they told us they wanted to reschedule because the installer had fallen behind. We could not be flexible - we'd chosen this company largely for the time promise - and they renewed their promise. They were due to arrive the next morning and finish that day. I arrived at 8am to meet them there. Low and behold, they had not shown up by lunch-time... so I called. They were running late and would be able to stop in later afternoon but promised to be done by that night. They arrived at 430pm. I was frustrated and had very low trust... but what other options did we have? We were literally looking to move in to this house they next day... and we had our moving van scheduled to drop off the following day. As our luck would have it, they DID NOT finish that night. They told us they also needed to charge us extra money to sand down the subfloor, unexpectedly. To add insult to injury, they told us they did not measure correctly and didn't have enough material to finish the job - and would need to order more (more money for us to pay) to finish the job. They asked if they could come by a few days after (more recently booked jobs were now ahead of us...). Now we were really mad. We demanded it get done asap as now we were going to have our stuff in the house and would have to keep the unfinished areas clear of furniture and so forth. I arrived the next day to inspect their work. Our newly painted walls had been beaten, scratched, and marked up all over the place by their install. In addition, they'd helped themselves to several bottles of water and left their half-eaten and drank fast food around the house. We called Overstock Flooring to complain again. The employee told us she'd let her boss know and that they'd try to work out a discount to atone for the duress. We also sent them an email documenting the situation with the pictures of the walls that were beaten up that we'd need to spend a couple hours fixing. They never responded to us despite our multiple requests and their multiple promises. The installers promised they'd come by the next day at 6pm to finish the trim. They arrived at 8pm (Mind you I was waiting and waiting at this house that we still weren't living in). The floor itself looks good and the price for just the flooring was fair... but oh my gosh this couldn't have been a worse experience. While we'd love to finish the flooring in the rest of our house in the future and the price of Overstock Flooring seems awesome, this was an unacceptable experience with false promises, lip service, and even a lack of apologies. It was insulting and I'd never put us through that sort of horrible experience again. In addition, the installers NEVER once apologized, the owner never called to apologize or atone and it took me a few hours to clean up the messes that left. This was insulting and demeaning.

We went everywhere to look for new flooring. Stopped by here on a whim and found a great selection of hardwoods, engineered hardwoods and laminate flooring. I saw things that I hadn't seen anywhere else. Rob, the salesperson we worked with, was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I'm happy to say we purchased our new flooring there and I can't wait for it to be installed.
