Really loved our apartment building, not my experience with Blueground. We stayed in a Blueground unit for the last three months. Upon checking in, I was disappointed at the condition of the apartment. There were stains in the carpets and on the the chair and couch, walls and ceilings were scuffed, and there were unpainted patches in the living room wall. One of the bar stools was broken, and there was a broken lamp in one of the closets. Not what I was expecting considering the price we were paying. I contacted Blueground through their app to get them to fix or remove the stool and lamp, and their support was maddeningly unhelpful (this included telling me that I would need to pay the building a "junk removal fee" to have the items disposed of, I've included my screenshots of the conversation as an example of how poor their support is). I ended up calling and eventually got through to someone and after several weeks and numerous back-and-forths the items were removed. The kitchen supplies are spotty. There is a lovely Le Creuset pot and Japanese tea kettle, but lacks practical things like a cutting board or baking sheet. When we arrived there were no paper towels or toilet paper, and we had to run out to buy our own. Everything about Blueground is overpriced. The cleaning was quoted at nearly $300 for bi-weekly cleans for a 1000 sq ft unit. I went with an other company and paid $180 instead. At one point we lost one of the fabs which unlock the door, and inquired about replacing it and was told it cost $150, which includes a Blueground up-charge over what the building actually charges to replace a fab. When we checked out, I was told I needed to pay for carpet and furniture cleaning that cost $485 (as I mentioned these items were extremely rundown when we arrived, and I regret not taking more photos ahead of time to dispute this, but that's on me). I was sent an email requesting me to pay the $485 despite paying a $2,695 security deposit. They either don't know what they are doing, or they're assuming, I don't know what I'm doing and will pay another $485 on top of everything else. When we decided we were going to return to Seattle for a year starting this summer, we knew we wanted to stay in the same building because we really were very impressed with every other part of our stay except our interactions with Blueground, but I am booking directly with the building. I can pay the same price with rental furniture in a bigger and better maintained unit without the hassle and fees (don't get me started on the upfront payment, for a year's worth of rent or else a 3% fee, REALLY?). Ridiculous.

Slightly cheaper than Airbnb for long-term stays. Furnished in a minimal manner, but had all the major necessities - multiple sets of sheets and towels, a solid cookware set, and beds were comfortable. My only gripe was the checkin process. We arrived to our apartment at 11pm after traveling all day and the instructions we were sent to get through the multiple locked doors surrounding our complex werent accurate. We called the Blueground customer service line and their advice was just to do the exact same things laid out in the inaccurate directions. We ended up hopping a fence and then getting lucky that one of the inner doors to the building hadnt fully latched. It seems like whoever wrote that process had never gone through the steps to see if it would work, nor considered that a lot of long-term tenants might not arrive during the apartment complex offices business hours. Apart from that, the stay was easy and comfortable.
