Love this venue! I got to see Fall Out Boy here a few years ago and it remains a top tier Seattle music venue for those that like standing room GA concerts.

The stage lighting was horrible. I don't need a bunch of flashy lights to enjoy good music; I want to see the performers and the spotlight was rarely on center stage. They never even spotlighted guitar solos. The opening act on 3/19/23 had so much bass guitar I couldn't tell if the lead singer had a voice. Barstools should be available for use by the paying customers, not for the staff checking wristbands.

Went to see Paolo Nutini here. Nice venue. Expensive drinks. Crowd inside were a bit odd, why go see someone perform if all you're going to do is talk loudly while they're playing?

The Showbox has always been that place where you hope your favorite artists play. Get there early, have a drink at Kerns, and then get inside the spacious place for the vibes you've been craving. Paolo Nutini served it up this night in grand fashion. Great set, intimate, varied as he is. The only negative were three 60-something sweater sets with no self awareness as their damn phones with bright lights recorded their Coors Light cans and each other so out of sync, you wondered what color the sky was in their world. As their non-rhythmic gyrations blocked the artist magic.
