NWA is an amazing school. My brother in-law and I attended just this previous year in 2020. We were lucky enough to be able to attend for a couple of months prior to the covid-19 shut down and transitioning to the hybrid program. They did an amazing job with keeping the switch and kept us learning as if nothing had changed. Although, we went for a short time being hands-off, we learned so much online that once we were able to attend again for the hands-on portion, we were very well prepared. We’ve since graduated and we’ve passed the mblex on our very first attempt. I would recommend this school to anyone that is looking to join the LMT field.

I loved my experience at Northwest Academy. Their instructors are knowledgeable and professional. I learned so much more than I ever expected. Hands down the best massage program in the area.

If you’re considering where to attend massage therapy school, be sure to take a good look at the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts as their comprehensive approach to massage therapy education has so much to offer. I was able to select a program structure that fit my life schedule, which made the difference between attending massage therapy school or not. Even when in-person instruction halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NW Academy quickly pivoted to online instruction, allowing me to continue with the program. I appreciated the knowledgeable instructors, how they were always encouraging, and had the patience to answer all my questions! This especially paid off when I took the MBLEx (state licensing exam) and passed on the first try. Also, I couldn’t have done it without continuous support from the administration. This began with initial inquiries to the school, applying to the program, success in the classroom, and all the way to licensure…thank you!! The NW Academy was the perfect fit for me and I highly recommend their program! If you’re still not sure, reach out to the school for further information, even giving them a call to chat. They are transparent in what they do and always ready to answer any question…additional stellar qualities!

I recently graduated from the 12-month long, weekend massage therapy program back in February and am now a practicing and licensed massage therapist! The curriculum worked well allowing me to continue working full-time during the week. Classes were Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6:30pm, every other weekend, with two classes each day - a science class and hands-on massage practice, except for the last term when we worked in the student clinic and had a business class. I'm extremely pleased with the education I received and felt well-prepared for working on real clients in the student clinic during the last term, and for taking the board exam after graduation. The instructors were kind, patient, and having a small class size really helped with receiving attentive instruction. The curriculum was planned well and I didn't feel completely overwhelmed trying to juggle school and a full-time job. I already miss being a student and hope to one day return for Continuing Education courses and who knows... maybe someday become an instructor! But for now, I'm happily employed with a massage clinic and couldn't have done it without everyone, classmates and faculty, at NW Academy! Thank you!
