image I strongly urge anyone who considers making a purchase from Absolutely Mobility exercise extreme caution.  My primary concern with this business is the deceptive practices they employed to sell the 2015 Dodge Caravan wheel chair accessible conversion van.    I'll itemize each issue in order: 1) power passenger side door inoperative - 2) ABS faulty - 3) rear passenger side trailing arm near detached must be replaced - 4) engine oil pan drain plug seized with epoxy and stripped.  5) muffler needs to be replaced.   I really want to make this abundantly clear what occurred with us is not so much the repairs required but the deception.  I had asked prior to our arrival does everything work as it should?  Their answer was a clear and concise - "everything works".  It doesn't, the power passenger door does not work as it should - it has to be operated manually.  I was told the passenger side door was manual not that it is actually a power sliding door that doesn't operate as it should.  Oh yeah - and upon arrival and when asked - the air-conditioner doesn't work.  The ABS is showing an intermittent fault code.   The exhaust is loud because it's faulty.  The straw that broke the camel's back is a tremendous safety hazard.  The trailing arm on the passenger side rear suspension was held on by a few bolt threads with worn bushings.  Based upon the rattling, I was sure, without lifting the vehicle, the ramp trolley was defective and simply required some attention.  Instead, the trailing arm was nearly detached creating a serious near catastrophic incident should it have fallen off while being operated under normal driving conditions or on a freeway.  I've had to replace the engine oil pan to resolve the drain plug problem which had been sealed with an epoxy.  Absolute Mobility is an absolute disaster and should be avoided at all costs.  They revealed a check off list which described the mechanical inspections conducted and nowhere within the content did it identify the problems I have revealed.  It was clearly a concerted effort to make a sale.  If in fact they conducted safety and mechanical checks these issues would have been addressed before the sale or at a minimum provided us with accurate information.  My family and I entrusted the welfare of our mother to Absolute Mobility but found them to be cunning and unscrupulous.  I highly recommend anyone seeking a wheelchair accessible van - avoid Absolute Mobility at all costs.  It's not worth the agony.

image We rented a van from absolute mobility the side door was stuck so we tried opening it and the window ended up shattering. When we took it back the same day because we needed a usable vehicle they ended up trying to charge us $4,000 for the window. The insurance ended up paying most of it but they still got $400 out of us. They are not reliable.

image I would have given them 4 stars however I was reminded today that they are still vehicle sales people. Went in to drop our van off for a promised repair and noticed 500$ off coupons on the counter, when I inquired as to why we didn't get 500 off I was told I must not have grabbed one. We were never at the counter and I believe they should have handed us one. We put $15,000 down so would have been nice for them to say " here is a coupon for 500, every bit help when you are buying an almost 70000 vehicle but nope gotta get every dollar.

image Absolute Mobility Center is the best.  We have had mobility vans for 12 years and started with another company where the service was questionable and the sales staff very pushy, sort of like used car salesman.  We were introduced to Absolute  Mobility through a VA disabled friend and haven't been anywhere else since.  Amanda, Shay and the whole staff at the Tacoma office were fabulous, no pushy used car attitude and no telling us our van was about to fall apart just honest answers to our many questions.  They walked us through all the VA paperwork and were great at delivery, being sure we understood all the buttons, dials and switches in the new van. Our next van was purchased through the Woodinville office.  Again the staff was great, we met Eddy when we took our van there for service.  He and Amanda own the company and their attitude extends to their staff in both locations.  The newest member of their staff, Van, no pun intended, is friendly and helpful with the same caring attitude that every one in the company shows.  Sometime disabled folks aren't the easiest to deal with but they handle the entire process with kindness and grace.  The service department is solid with every little detail attended to as if this vehicle was going to be carrying their family not just another vehicle to service.But the best way to find out what a company is made of is in a crisis and Absolute and Braun of Braunability came through with flying colors.  In 2018, in our new van with less that 150 total miles, we were on our way home and the van quit.  We called Absolute and Eddy said we was coming to  get us and take us on home.  We talked him out of that move because we were over an hour and a half away not counting the ferry ride.  The service manager was also on the call telling us what to do and what not to do.  Mainly call a flat bed wrecker and do not allow a regular wrecker to pick up our new vehicle.  All this was done through our insurance company and after waiting 6 hours for the proper wrecker we were home.  The van was not going to move without major repairs so a new one was ordered, all with our requirements and specks in mind.  A flat bed wrecker picked up our new/not running van and took it back to Absolute and brought us a rental to use while we were waiting for the now, on order van.  The new, 2019 van, cost us nothing and neither did the rental.  Braun stood behind their product and Eddy and Amanda supported us with the rental, at no cost to us. Thanks Absolute Mobility, Love you Eddy and Amanda and all the staff!
