Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services

I had one of the worst experiences with this company. I was not aware that Roto-Rooter doesn't have their own company like they use to. They send out local plumbers. He was having problems so I looked online& tried to help with suggestions and he started yelling at me. He said he had 20 years experience and he doesn't need my help. He went on and on yelling at me. I don't think I've ever had such an awful experience. He said he was going to retire. He spilled sewage water on my carpet. Flooded my bathroom. He did call Stanley Steemer and texted me that he will have that cleaned in two weeks. Two weeks later another carpet cleaner who was very polite, but not Stanley Steamer as he said. The carpet still stinks and will need replaced!. The worse company. I will NEVER call them again. Services: Toilet repair, Sewer cleaning

Victor and Ryan were exceptional- knowledgeable and went beyond any expectations- I highly recommend them! They installed a water softener- it was not an easy task but they were prompt- wonderful experience- you need a plumber- youll get the best service!

Giving 1 star is a gift. Advertise 24/7 but wanted $500 to come and turn off our main water valve !!! We will never use this company for anything.

I used Roto-Rooter about 5 times 2 years ago on another one of my properties to upgrade plumbing from old cast iron, reroute pipes, and perform repairs on old existing plumbing. They are more expensive than an independent plumber (not usually by a huge amount) but I tend to like to use name brand companies instead of independent contractors for the added accountability, etc. This time for another property I needed 2 plumbing stacks repaired where the PVC entered the concrete below ground. Jack-hammering was needed on both about a foot deep but nothing outlandish. In fact when I was inspecting the work during and after it was done I was under the impression that it wasn't as bad as it could have been... not too deep, not too much pipe to replace. I've also done a lot of different projects with contractors so I understand pricing, difficulty, etc. I figured the final price on this job would be at or below the estimate given the conditions. instead, the final bill was substantially more than the high end of the quote. Plumber came at 8am and was gone by 12:30pm. I do appreciate the timeliness BUT I was charged $3000 labor for 4.5 hours of work which equates to $666 per hour. Then another $600 for parts and taxes. I'm not one to write these reviews about companies; This job was done satisfactorily but I certainly feel taken advantage of with the final price, so much so that I won't be using Roto Rooter again and would not recommend them.
