My family has always had a great experience with Dr. Mancini. Never once did they ever held my child down! My family has been going to Dr Mancini for 5 years! In fact Dr. Mancini made a referral for my oldest son to get braces, because my son had a severe overbite! Thanks to Dr.Mancini, my son got his braces and after two years wearing braces, they were removed and now he has great alined teeth! His speech has also improved as well. Some of these comments on here are absurd, I highly doubt that any of these so called horror stories are even true!

Low quality of care and unnecessary work ordered for my children. They put a crown on my child's tooth instead of a filling. This just enabled them to bill the insurance more. In addition when I went to a new dentist they said my childen need sealant on their molars. Insurance rejected it because La Petite already billed them for it. Either they didn't do it at all, or they did it so poorly that it came off after a year. Either way, I am not happy about it. I just had to pay $400 out of pocket to get sealants redone because this place can't do them properly. Just so I'm not entirely negative, they take special care to ensure children are comfortable. My kids didnt mind going there. When they had to do work beyond a cleaning they were able to numb just a small area of my child's mouth instead of half the face. The fishtank is also cool. They get one star for each of those things but I'm still unhappy about the sealant and the excessive and unnecessary work they did on my children. I may be seeing them in small claims court. Their only remedy to the sealants was to let them redo them. If you couldn't get it right the first time, or the second what makes you think I'll bring my kids back for a 3rd.

High pressure upselling braces. Wouldn't let me come back with my daughter during her cleanings and filling. Cancelled my appointment. Tried to make an appointment today, and was told they are only open Monday through Wednesday. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Update* Just received an email stating LaPetite will be closed permanently 4/9/18. They have a civil lawsuit against them from the State of Wisconsin along with a few other pending civil lawsuits.

I wish I could leave less than one star. While it has been over 3 years since my daughter visited his office, the emotional scars still linger. Dr. Mancini treated my entire family like "less than" people. It was against my better judgement to let him continue working with my kid but I felt I had no better option. It was the single worst mistake I have ever made. In the end, they pinned my daughter down to take care of a cavity. She left with bruises on her cheeks and ribs. They berated her for being scared and "vocal" telling her should would scare the other kids in the office...nice. For a 7 year old to take on all this is dispicable. Plus, the filling fell out 2 weeks later. Luckily, I did more research (you should too) and found a dentist who uses water laser and interviewed with them to see if they were actually people who cared about my daughter...not just her mouth and my wallet. If you are looking for a dentist who is patient and knows what their doing...this isn't it. It is worth the effort to research to find a dentist and staff who will treat your kid with kindness, respect and dignity. Don't go here.

The dental work my kids had done left them traumatized and upset. Several teeth worked on became abscessed and later pulled. Luckily they were baby teeth! The yelling and screaming and parents not allowed to be there to comfort them. Additionally, I was constantly being "double billed" for the same tooth or additional work that wasn't even done at the visit! I never paid a bill without reviewing it carefully. They did sealants at every visit as well. The dentist was generally very impatient with kids who weren't cooperative or were scared. He spent very little time explaining why procedures were necessary. I had so many issues with the billing and they would force you to pay for items your insurance was supposed to pay for (sometimes hundreds of dollars in work) then reimburse you after the claim was paid by insurance. The treatment plan was always very extensive. I had three kids and I knew that it shouldn't be the same with all this work to be done for all of them. Sure enough, I took them to another dentist and all of a sudden that work wasn't needed. This dentist is over treating, his finance staff are incorrectly billing, and it is in general a bad experience for kids and parents alike. Update: My kids are all happy at their new dentist (St. Croix Kidds) and are having cavity free visits and no need for expensive dental procedures since we left La Petite. My kids were all terrified of the dentist, and I will forever regret not getting a second opinion sooner. Thankfully, my kids are starting to repair some of that trauma by having positive dental experiences elsewhere. WCCO is currently publishing stories on this very topic. All parents who had these experiences should consider reaching out to have their stories heard! Maybe then the licensing board will actually do something about the complaints filed against Dr. Mancini.
