The Good: Bike arrived clean & safe.Everything else: Signed a contract to pick up a bike in Florida & deliver it to California. This company cost more than other alternatives, but their trucks looked super professional, and I wanted to make sure this bike was safe. They gave a 20-day window for pickup, and 10-day window for delivery. I was told I would get an e-mail with a rough estimate for pickup, and a phone call the day before pickup. 19 days later, I had heard nothing. I called for an update. Lady was very discourteous. When I said "tomorrow is the deadline for pickup" she snapped "ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE, SIR!" I replied that its the LAST DAY of a 3-week window . . . and nobody had contacted me at all. She said I would be contacted when the pickup route was planned. I said "Wait . . . you haven't even scheduled a driver to go to Florida!?!?!?!" Answer: "No." Me: "When were you going to let me know you weren't going to pick up the bike by the deadline?" Answer: "I ALREADY TOLD YOU - THE 20-DAYS IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!!!!" Bike wasn't picked up for another 5 days. 9 days later . . . I hadn't heard anything AGAIN. So, I called. Rude Lady #2: "THE 10-DAYS IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!" Me: "Well . . . then how late will you be THIS time?" Her: "We aren't late! ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!" Me: "Where is my bike." Her: "We're expecting it any day." Me: "To my house? When were you going to call to schedule delivery?" Her: "No . . . delivery to our main Hub." Me: "Where is that?" Her: "(somewhere in the midwest). Then we'll find a truck to take it to our other hub in Vegas. Then we'll find a driver to take it to you." Me: " . . . and you don't think you're running late?" Her: "ITS ONLY AN ESTIMATE!" Me: (click) About a week later, I get an email that the bike will be delivered in the next 2 days. Of course, it was the second day. The driver calls my wife, who works from home, that morning to say he'll be there "between 11am-4pm." She says "Great. I'm available that whole time, except I have a conference call at noon, for 1/2 hour, that I won't be able to get away from." Driver calls at 11:30am, to say he'll be there . . . at noon." Wife reminds him that noon - 12:30 is literally the ONLY 1/2 hour she's not available. Driver responds: "Well, if you don't answer the door, I'll just leave, and you'll be in violation of your contract." Luckily the driver, with an entire face full of tattoos, showed up at 11:45am, and my wife was able to take delivery before her call.

Awesome place to work for but extremely long and hard work. Problem is customers want to ship a motorcycle cross country and expect it to be there in a week. What they don't realize is it takes time to load and unload these motorcycles. The owner has to pay to fill the equipment in order to make money. But they have great equipment and you see lots of beautiful bikes.

I sold a motorcycle online on February 7, 2023. The drivers who came to pick up my bike on February 22 during a freezing rain storm called me 30min before their arrival window expecting me to be ready. Instead of waiting the 30-45min it would have taken me to leave work early and meet them on dry roads, they kept moving and said they would be back later. This meant that by the time I went to meet them, the roads were slick and covered with a fine slush. Because their trucks are too big for my neighborhood, I had a rather harrowing ride over to the parking lot we agreed to meet in. Then, I had to wait over 2 hours (!) For them to circle back around, and when they did they blew right passed the place. Of course, they did turn around and come to get the bike, and fortunately I had a follower in a warm vehicle to wait in, so things could've been much worse that day. Once the drivers arrived they were very friendly and kind and we were away quickly. So, that was... 19 days ago, and 34 days since the bike was sold. The buyer of my motorcycle, who hired HaulBikes, has still no updates from them after it arrived at their hub on March 2nd (10 days after pickup, 9 days ago for those keeping track). The bike is going from Michigan to the West Coast and I figured there would be more travelling that way then vice-versa so I'm curious what the holdup is. At present, my money and his new bike and title are held up in an escrow account until HaulBikes comes thru and actually makes delivery, and it has been a painful month+ wait for us both. In no way do I want this to reflect poorly on the men and women actually driving he trucks, because I know there are some left here, but perhaps not enough and perhaps their management and dispatch is failing them, which means the company as a whole fails us! I hope they sort these issues out soon.

I'm currently on the back-end of a bad experience with this company. The lack of efficacy and care have been appalling. We are now over 2 weeks outside their estimate window and my bike has been warehoused at their hub (for 10 days) which is further away than where the bike started and they have no plan or estimate on when they will be able to deliver. I have contracted another company to pick up my bike from their warehouse and do the job they couldn't. Here's where I stand Initial Job: 290 mile transport to Kentucky Current status (after 39 days): 405 miles away from Kentucky When I demanded an explanation, a Haul Bikes rep reminded me that they give "estimates" not "guarantees". Clearly if they have no plan as to how or when they can deliver after a month then their estimate was pulled out of thin air...or worse places. Apparently they are amidst a severe driver shortage and have yet to cut back on the number of jobs they accept to match their decreased operational capacity. Their M.O. seems to be: accept the money, figure the rest out later. If not for being such a well-known company I would have assumed I had been conned out of my money and my bike...perhaps the "money" part will be true as I fully expect them to work harder to avoid refunding my money than they did to deliver my bike. (Update: they refunded $145 out of $779) I would recommend avoiding this company unless you live in or in-route to major shipping hubs or simply don't care when your bike is delivered
