When I first came here they helped me out a lot. Shameka is the bomd. Com she is one of the best business owners I met here in Columbus ohio. She is a good hard worker a amazing motivator and when u come too her place of business she always smile and welcome u. She is reasonable and very understanding. I will continue too rent a vehicle here with Shameka and her co workers. I wont go anywhere else but here. Good nice music laughter and very helpful here at Avis budget. Thanks for the amazing cars that I have been renting out from yall

The owner, ShaMeka, is shady and the only person this review is about. I've been renting from Avis consistently for 5+ years (Avis Preferred Plus member). I have never had an issue with any location until now. Before returning the vehicle around noon, I filled up and even topped off the tank at a gas station literally 2 blocks away. When I called and spoke with the owner about a $25 fuel charge that hit my account more than a day later, she said the vehicle's gas gauge reads one notch off from full. When I questioned her claim, she referred to the notes on the day I dropped off the vehicle. The mileage was recorded about 40 miles BELOW from where it is now... (which explains why the gas is one notch off from full.) This means someone else drove the car and they should be the one responsible for filling up the tank, right? Apparently, the owner does not agree. Instead, she got defensive and first claimed her employees do not joyride in cars...then said she will not pay for gas out of her own pocket...then suggested someone wrote the mileage down wrong when I dropped it off... then told me to drive back out there to refill the tank if I do not want to be charged. These are all B.S. excuses for something that's already been documented and confirmed. She told me to take it up with customer service and hung up the phone on me - unbelievable. Moral of the story is this owner is grossly unfair and morally wrong, and always take pictures of everything when picking up and dropping off vehicles - especially at this location. Avis customer service immediately reimbursed me and apologized for her unprofessional behavior but I honestly can't justify doing business with this location any longer. The owner is way too eager to sever ties with long-standing loyal customers over something as trivial as an unwarranted gas charge... just bad business.

A lot of folks only take the time to complain, so allow me just a moment to sing the praises of this Avis location team. ShaMeka, Dorinda, April & everyone else, THANK YOU. You guys went above and beyond for me and I cant begin to tell you how much it is appreciated. They chose to stick around after close and wait for me to make sure I got into my rental - that alone is worth all 5 starts. (Id been traveling for nearly 12hrs and the final flight delay nearly made me miss my car pickup to continue my journey out of town). Add on the fact ShaMeka took the time to review my online selection and offer me a HIGHER QUALITY VEHICLE, with the gas mileage I wanted, tack on COMPLETE INSURANCE COVERAGE, and bring the whole package in for LESS MONEY than what I originally picked - SOLD. I know it sounds like an advertisement but its true. Fast service, clean vehicle, the right price and a customer service experience I wont soon forget. You all knocked this out the ball park and have gained a customer for life. Thank you again!
